Unprofessional, dirty, cheap. The service is atrocious. It took them 30 min to find our luggage when we were checking in. The elevators were so slow and packed that we had to take the stairs. Don’t be fooled by the beautiful photos. They aren’t real. The hotel is under construction and those are merely fancy, digital models of what they hope it will be. The bathroom doors don’t even close properly. Don’t waste your money.

This hotel is under renovations and offers none of the amenities shown on their website. The 'lobby' smelled of paint and there were tarps everywhere so you only have a path to get around in. Our room had no floor covering except a large throw rug. The only upside was the extremely helpful staff who were very gracious when I checked out after the first night. I'm sure once the renovations are. complete, this will be a nice hotel.

Contrary to what you will see on the website, they are still renovating this hotel. The room was very comfortable and complete. Halls are very dark and dimly lit. The front desk is a hallway which is totally fine...you have to make exceptions for renovation needs but is helpful to know. Everyone was very pleasant, kind and helpful. Will be very nice when it is finished.

The housekeeping and late night/early morning front desk staff were amazing people. The room had a modern feel, I loved the aesthetics. There was ample desk space for my work. This is also an awesome location. Straight shot from the airport on the Blue line.

This is the first yelp review that I have ever written. However, this is honestly the worst hotel experience that we've ever had. The hotel is currently under renovation, which requires check in to be in the freight entrance that is dusty and unclean - I've stayed in nicer hostels. Additionally, the rooms are unclean. We found a discarded eyelash strip on our bed upon arrival and our "city view room" overlooked a wall. We moved rooms and still are in another unclean room with stains on the surfaces. The website is deceiving and states that there is a restaurant, bar, concierge, room service, workout room - none of that is currently available. The worst part of this experience is that we added a night to our stay in advance after initially booking. Upon arrival (late at night), we were told that we would need to check out by noon and then check in again at 4 the next day for our second night. When we tried to address our concerns with management, they said that there was nothing that they could do. Super frustrating, would highly recommend booking else where.

this is the Worst hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel is under construction and we entered through the garage and used a Freight Elevator to reach the room. There was no lobby, restaurant. coffee shop or greeting area. they still charged Full price.what indifference to us customers. I left early and lost 1 day of prepaid lodging. Avoid this place

Definitely not a 4-star hotel. More like a 2-star. No lobby (have to use a service entrance and the front desk is just a folding table). Majority of main first floor area is completely closed for renovations. 2 very slow service elevators in use. No restaurant or gym on premises during construction. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash containers aren't labeled, and one pump barely worked. Main light inside room didn't work. No iron and board. Clothes steamer was moldy inside. No hooks for hand towels. Very thin walls (heard music through one wall and a baby crying through the other on our first morning). Main room was plain cement flooring with a carpet over it. Lobby coffee was removed by mid-morning, with none in the room. Staff was very nice but not the most competent (some seemed confused by very basic questions).

Booked for business travel - no mention of the ongoing renovations. Really wish I would have checked yelp before finalizing the reservation! It's only one night, so I am toughing it out, but it is now 11:30 pm and I am still hearing construction noise - drills, hammering, tools being dropped. I called the front desk who said they would "send security to check it out." Not sure how things will be after the renovation, but I would avoid at all costs during renovation. The bed is comfortable, but due to the construction noise, sleep is unlikely.

At booking there was no mention that the hotel was under renovation. So you have to enter the hotel thru the freight entrance (no lobby). Only the freight elevators are running. The bar/restaurant were both closed. They still had the audacity to charge $60 for valet parking. If you are going to hide the fact you are under renovation while booking at least have the courtesy to give discounted parking. Screw this hotel. Never again. Oh, and the floor was filthy in our room, terrible shower set up and no fridge.

They’re under construction, but that’s not the only thing underwhelming about this place. They explain the plain concrete floors with a rug over most of them, not what you expect in a hotel room. TV worked but channel changing was very slow. No coffee maker in the room, but two bottles of water for $4 each! I went to Trader Joe’s and picked up a pair for $0.17 each. During breakfast time they literally have a single pot of coffee and that’s it! Bed was comfy, bathroom was fancy but functional. If the price is low enough fine, but you’ll probably get a better room and more service at Motel 6.

The hotel is great . It's under construction , and the elevators take while (but they're refurbishing them so I get it ) The little gym is awesome !!! Has everything you need . The new rooms are modern and minimal . But overall really modern and cute . Customer service was great . We liked it here and are actually talking about coming back and staying at the wink . Thank you again !

The room is total opposite of what the pictures are online when you book. No closet, no carpet (literally concrete with an area rug, weird smell in room. Absolute horrible experience here, especially the price. I wouldn't recommend at all.

The only reason I'm giving it a three is because I don't believe we got our money's worth. My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to DC and had booked this hotel online the hotel looked beautiful inside and out, but when booking what the hotel failed to let the clients know is that the hotel is being COMPLETELY REMODELED therefore it looks nothing like the pictures the only thing that is done being remodeled are the rooms besides that everything is under construction and its not enjoyable it was a hassle the last day we were there the elevators weren't working and we had to take our luggage's down the stairs. I will say this once the hotel is done it will be really nice I just personally would've liked to be told they were under construction so I would've booked else were because at least for me when I book a hotel I want to enjoy all of it and we couldn't enjoy much since everything is being fixed. I'm disappointed because I would've liked to have enjoyed the hotel to its full potential. From what we were told the hotel should be done being remodeled by Mid March 2020 so I would stay clear of this hotel until then. On the bright side the location is great, the rooms are nice, and the staff is friendly.

We were tricked by their website that mentions nothing about the undergoing construction of the new concept/name. Website: Beautiful boutique Hotel with character and amazing vibe with great food, bar and welcoming lobby. Reality: Freight entrance, no lobby, no reception, no concierge! Only to computers on a folding table with staff that look lost and embarrassed. As we headed to our room, we noticed a plastic covered area of construction and dust. Then we took the service/freight elevator to our floor. NO BAR - NO FOOD - NO GYM - NO DRINKS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

This was my first experience at The Wink. This hotel is under renovation and soon changing to “Yours Truly”. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully done. New rooms are always good. There is no other amenities offered right now which makes it hard to enjoy the stay. The price offered for the current amenities is bit steep. Location is very convenient and this is location in between Dupont Circle and Washington Circle. The Wink offers 10% discount on breakfast at Bread & Chocolate. The elevators are very old and certainly needs replacement.
