This place was a disappointment. We came here for happy hour, only to be told that they did not do happy hour. The website clearly shows a happy hour menu and the bartender and manager stated the website must be “mistaken”. A waste of an uber and unnecessary traffic for nothing.

The two times I’ve been to THRōW Social DC, their parties have been lame

Man throw social is the vibe every time!! They have this one bartender named Allie who runs the show and makes everything fun! The best bartender in the dmv and she goes above and beyond for the customers making sure your drinks and food are superb ! Not only the customer service but the way she makes the people feel who visit is unmatched !! I would definitely go back time and time again just for her service !! If you’re ever there ask for Allie and you’ll see the experience for yourself!!!

My guest and I have an excellent time. The atmosphere was great, the bar tenders were good, my waitress was not very attentive. We waited at least 30 minutes or more to be waited on. I rented the cabana, It was clean well lit, seats were comfortable. I would do another gathering there. Now some of my guest wants to do a gathering there.

Super cool and fun place! The live DJ is a plus! It's super spacious with indoor and outdoor areas. The bar tables are first come first serve. The cabanas require a reservation. Plenty of activities to do, pung pong, connect four, Jenga, tossing game. I was impressed with the food and cocktails. I didn't have much of an expectation because it seemed like bar food, but the tacos were a hit! The cocktails were good too. The service was also outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive.

DO NOT USE YOUR CARD HERE!!

Waiter charged my card after my tab was closed. I would bring cash or just close your tab immediately after ordering. The waiter lied and took my friend’s cash and kept half the cash from her order and charge my card for the rest of her order. This is why DC night life is going no where can’t even enjoy some mediocre food without being stolen from an establishment.

Fun atmosphere (DJ) but so many things that weren’t good -

Food had obviously been sitting around for quite a while (most came out way too quickly, soggy avocado toast, tepid corn beef hash). Also multiple items not available and paper plates and plastic knives and forks.

- service was dreadful - friendly but incredibly slow and bad - forgotten drinks, inattentive, staff not bringing enough glasses and then when reminded just going and chatting with other servers.

- drinks weren’t great.

Has a lot of potential but would not recommend coming here for any sort of food or table service.

My company had their annual retreat here from 4PM - 8PM. I will say that the way they have it set up is great - and I'm guessing even better at night with all the cool lighting. Lots of games and activities. The bad part was that when we arrived at 4:00PM, extremely loud and obnoxious hard-core rap (and I mean hard core) was all that was playing. It was so obnoxious and loud that we could barely hear ourselves talk. When a large party reserves a space, one of the questions that should be asked of the patron is what kind of music the party would like to hear. There was no one else in there pretty much the whole time we were there (we went downstairs at 7:00PM for ax-throwing) and they knew that - and should have catered the music to our taste. When one of our group members asked a couple of employees if they could change up the music, they laughed at him. They did change it to more appropriate music; however, after 30 minutes, the music went completely off and we had no music at all until it was almost time for us to go downstairs. So we were then sitting in a huge room with absolutely no music and employees running around setting up for a large event that was going to take over the whole upstairs (we were actually asked to change our schedule because of this group that reserved after we did). At that point, we just felt like an after thought - hanging out in a huge silent room while people ran around setting up for another event. I will say that our server (Princess) was very nice and provided good service. I would not recommend this place for a corporate event. This is a nightclub and if you are into that scene - most likely a great one. Also, the ax-throwing was great and the guy who helped us was very nice and accommodating. The whole music thing ruined it for me. The music was being played for the employees - not for the group that was actually there paying.
