Had the blue cheese burger. Can't recall its name but it was excellent. Would enjoy it again. Didn't have the beer I fancied and was a bit warm to dine inside, so opted for the outdoor seating which was fine. Great burger place for tourists in the area. Recommended.

Asked for a burger to be medium (closer to medium rare) and it came out well done. So I left hungry going to a movie. Disappointing to say the least.

A small group of us went to Thunder Burger & Bar after a show at the Kennedy Center. You can park in the Colonial Parking lot (2 minute walk to the restaurant). The service was attentive and it was cozy inside with a fire in the fireplace. We got the nacho appetizer and then we all got different burgers. Everyone had good things to say about their meals including me who got the Impossible Burger (plant-based) - so good! Fries were good too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Our server was nice, but beer took awhile to get, all came separate, and tasted like the beer lines hadn't been cleaned in awhile. When ordering beers they also were out of more than half the menu. Would be better to have an updated menu instead of us going down the list to try and order and keep having to say “no we're out”. Burgers were also incredible “mid”. Small burger, overcooked, and not really worth the price. Was hopeful for a good burger and beer but ended up eating a burned burger and dirty beer :/

Poor service. Waited 15 minutes after being seated for anyone to acknowledge us. Saw food being brought out and just sitting waiting to be served. Saw employees arguing. We left before ordering.

The waitress was friendly, but we ordered a second round of beers and they didn't turn up in a timely manner. Furthermore they had a happy hour 50% off certain beers but this was "bar only" in small writing on the sign which we did not see. This should have been clarified by the resteraunt. Needless to say we did not tip.
Advice clarify your promotions better!

The burger was top notch. Delicious toasted brioche bun, beefy, juicy 1/2 lb. patty, just like I like it. I got it with tomato, mushrooms, Swiss and smoked applewood bacon, and it was an amazing combo. Seved with pickles on the side. The sweet potato fries were crispy and hot with a sweet mayo dipping sauce. Everything was perfect!

Went about a month ago, super weird place. Plates are rectangular and annoying to eat a burger off of, fries seemed almost stale, they gave us gherkins instead of actual pickles. Waiter was surprisingly rude -- made multiple snippy comments when one of us ordered a cheeseburger with no other toppings, came back to ask us for a reminder of what we ordered two minutes after taking them, and "forgot" the fries for the person who got the plain cheeseburger. We went at like 4 pm so he must have been in a bad mood or something, because there weren't even other tables to serve. The bartender seemed almost apologetic about him, as if he acted like this all the time. The burger itself is perfectly mediocre. I wouldn't come back here if the food was free.

This place has a decent vibe. The lemon pepper wings at first looked bland but were better taste wise and nice crisp. The artichoke dip was good and their kobe beef burger looks nice but it wasn't anything special to be $20. It doesn't come with bacon I just added it.

Server was unsure whether there was any Heineken left (7pm Saturday night) or any limes for a mixed drink. Brought out a tired lime then switched for a fresh one. Taking an order took forever, never really checked back. Burger was good, nothing special.
If you are of color I recommend not going here the server was very rude to me. His name is Zouhair, I believe he’s a bartender. He put in an order that I didn’t ask for then caught an attitude when I told him that’s not what I wanted. But catered to everybody else needs literally. This was a bad experience for me made me feel like ii didn’t belong honestly.

First time at Thunder Burger. The service was excellent. They have a great patio outside. The burgers are delicious! I absolutely recommend trying Thunder Burger. They were open late on a Sunday night. The restaurant itself has unique decor. Whether you eat on the patio or inside, you will definitely enjoy it.
