This is a fun Tiki bar in Adams Morgan… definitely worth stopping in to check out their large, interesting, and unique menu! Service we got was great and the vibe was nice as well. They even have a decent menu loaded with all sorts of nice eats with a Filipino flare. The cocktails we got were enjoyable and nicely done. Each being served in an interesting and uniquely appropriate vessel.
Stop in … give ‘em a try!

My bestie and I took my brother out for his 23rd Birthday and decided to eat at Tiki On 18th. Since my Step mom and best friend are in fact Filipino my brother (who is half Filipino) and I are definitely not strangers to the cuisine or being raised by the culture. The ambiance is low lit, colorful and pretty on the first level. The staff was very friendly and did well keeping up with the business as bartenders and servers.
The food & drinks were excellent and tasty to the point where we had full three course meals.
I’ve been there once before on their patio 2 summers ago but this experience hit different because of the occasion. We will be returning….Cheers!!!!

Fun drinks, great vibes, and solid Filipino food. I honestly thought that Tiki on 18th was just a bar for the longest time, but I recently learned that they're also a restaurant! Given the distinct lack of good Filipino food available in DC proper, I was super excited to give them a try. We came in with a group of 10 people, and they were clearly very accustomed to working with large groups; the servers were super friendly and on top of it, and also very understanding when parts of our group arrived a bit late.
We started off with a smattering of appetizers (potentially the entire appetizer menu), and they were all solid. I especially loved the vegetarian lumpia and the chili shrimp, but it was, all around ,a great introduction to the meal. It was hard to settle on just one thing for the main course, but I ended up getting their salmon curry; the salmon had a gorgeously crispy skin, but the fish itself was very slightly overcooked and a tad dry. There wasn't a ton of curry sauce, but what they did provide was super flavorful and quite tasty. There was also a small mishap in the ordering; another friend at the table had also ordered the salmon curry, but they later came back to tell us that, unfortunately, they were running out of salmon and could only make one plate. It was a bit of a bummer, but it also encouraged us to all branch out and try other dishes.
We also tried almost all of their desserts; all of them were solid, but my favorite had to be the ube cheesecake. It was rich and creamy, and had a lovely ube flavor. We had also ordered one of their seasonal special desserts, which was a fun sweet and savory combination with salted egg yolk, but it, unfortunately, never arrived and we were too stuffed by the end to request it.

Cannot say enough about how good my experience was - had been wanting to try Tiki for the longest time and it was incredible! I wasn’t sure how to feel about salmon in sinigang …but you could honestly put anything in that broth and I would probably eat it! Sinigang is one of my favorite Filipino foods and it was so fresh and authentic; I’m contemplating writing a sonnet (you think I’m kidding). They even had lumpiang gulay that TASTED LIKE LUMPIANG!! Not a veggie spring roll masquerading as lumpiang. I think I cried a little. Then the beautiful, icy, chaotic cherry on top was the most perfect halo-halo complete with ube ice cream and red beans. Heaven.
The drinks were really good too with interesting flavor profiles, not overly sweet or fake tasting. I had both the Three Dots and a Dash, as well as the Port Au Prince and both were excellent. My only minor issue here is that the Haitian named cocktails should probably be made with Haitian rhum.
Service was fantastic! Full stop. I will advise however, if you go in with a large party be patient with food arrival. It’s a small spot with what I imagine is a very tiny kitchen, cranking out sensational food! All of your party’s food may not hit the table at EXACTLY the same time and that’s OK. Don’t be an idiot. It will be worth it!

We ordered the spicy pork sisig and Jo-jo's pansit, and we loved both. The pork sisig is done just the way it's supposed to be done. The pansit with the crispy pork belly on top was a nice touch.

This place is firing on all cylinders. Excellent, unique food and cocktails, ultra-attentive and friendly service, unique and cozy atmosphere, and one of the cleanest places you can find in the area. The bathrooms are so clean you could probably eat off of the floor! Highly recommended.

This is a cool place, good food, cool drinks. I came here primarily for dinner, and my rating is reflective of that. If you come here for drinks and snacks, I’m sure you’ll have a 4-5 star experience.
The food tasted good but everything was very pricey, 20% service charge built in. Regular steamed rice costs extra, an egg costs extra, just about everything costs extra even though rice and an egg in the sisig should be standard part of the meal in my humble opinion. The sisig was burnt and there were many pieces too big, not properly chopped. The Pinoy Fries are regular fries with a Sriracha yum yum sauce. Nothing about that is “Pinoy”. The provided sauce wasn’t enough for the dry fries so I requested more and got charged $1 for extra sauce, which just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The Lechon canton was pretty good, and the lumpia shanghai was good. The drinks are cool and unique. I had a fun time here but probably won’t return

First time coming and sat at the bar. Our bartender was Jenina. She was so amazing because the service was great and we got to talk to her and she gave the best recommendations… we ended up ordering everything she recommended. The food was amazing and the drinks came out great. Will be coming back and hopefully she’s working again.

the restaurant opens at 12pm. the lighting is dim and the music is loud — it definitely has a more bar/club-like feel than a brunch spot. depending on who you are, that may not be a bad thing! i made a reservation for 12:30, and i even came in early. the timing matters because despite having been the second party seated, we still had to wait over an hour for our food. another party came in after, and they got served before us.
our server let us know that it would be ready in 10 minutes after waiting for 20 — it was not. i asked another waitress at 40 minutes for an update and whether or not our food would even come out, she assured me she’d check the kitchen. i never heard from her again and she came out to make a drink. i understand that things happen, but the lack of communication as if this was a standard wait time was the most frustrating thing. the specific server that seated us also didn’t seem that concerned that our table (and another) hasn’t gotten their order - shouldn’t they be checking with the kitchen? isn’t it suspicious to them that we’ve been waiting for so long? it wasn’t even a busy crowd, mostly empty tables, so i’m not sure what she was doing.
a few minutes later, jules — i believe a manager — comes out and apologizes, and compensates us for our meal. i truly appreciate that and the explanation provided, which is what moved this review up from one star.
the food was excellent, which is what makes this okay. my boyfriend got the SPAM madame and i ordered the fried chicken with ube mochi waffles. both so good! i plan on coming back again and hopefully i can update this review with a better experience and a new order.
i wouldn’t say this review should disincentivize you from coming — great food and great management more than makes up for this, but perhaps don’t expect an attentive waitstaff. fingers crossed that the system issues are resolved by the time you come!
