Very cute and innovative Japanese-Italian fusion spot! I had the Vongole Ramen, which was very tasty, although also extremely rich so perhaps difficult to finish towards the end.The onigiri was also interesting, although many of them were a bit lacking in filling.

Super cute cafe across from the CapOne arena. Great ambiance and the workers are very kind and efficient even when it was busy. The tuna onigiri was good!

Food was pretty good! But service was not. The waitress was nice but never around. Took an hour to get drinks and then another hour to get our food. In those two hours, she never came back to check on us and see if we needed more water (which we did ?)

This was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had as well as the best roasted carrots! I tried the unagi pizza and the dough was so light, fluffy, and crisp. The flavors were so unique on a pizza but tasted incredible. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough!

Just WOW! Typing this with my pants unbuttoned. My friends were skeptical of japanese italian fusion and one ingrate even dropped out right before our reservation. She should have taken a history lesson though because obv these two Axis Powers already knew how to collab. Carrots ate DOWN. Meatballs changed my life. Panna cotta did what it always does.

Very good Italian with a Japanese interpretation. Pizza/pasta made using Japanese ingredients and technique that brings the best out of both cuisines.Pizza is similar to Detroit style; squares with a very good crust.

I came here for dinner during DC Restaurant Week. I was really looking forward to trying this place out because I’m a huge fan of their sister restaurant, Daikaya. We made reservations, but were kept waiting after we arrived. To the manager’s credit, he made us comfortable while we waited with a drink and apologized for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. We were seated upstairs next to a large diorama of…well, I’m still not quite sure what it was lol. The decor in the restaurant seems disjointed and not at all cohesive. I thought it was odd.We started with the arugula salad which was fine. I also had the Brussels sprouts which were very good. I had a slice of the Tonari pizza and my friend had a slice of the Mentaiko & Corn pizza. Both were super delicious! The corn pizza has a very unique flavor that’s hard to describe, but it works. We also both ordered the Mentaiko pasta which was equally delicious. For drinks, I had the Daidai, which has zero alcohol and was good; it’s pretty fruity but not overly sweet. They were offering dessert when we were there, and we both had an espresso affogato. All in all, I thought the restaurant was great. They had recently opened, so I could tell they were still working out some kinks, but I think it’s a great addition to the food scene in downtown. The prices are also reasonable. I would return!

It was a bit hard to tell from the outside what this restaurant is. It's basically pizza but with a Japanese twist. For example one of the half pizza's I got had eel on it in a sauce you might expect from a sushi roll. The odd combinations work, though. I liked both the eel pizza and the one inspired by a Philly cheese steak. I wouldn't call it an amazing restaurant but it's good and the prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality.

We had the arrabbiata ramen, tamago sandwich, and dalgona coffee. Everything was incredible! I could drink one of their coffees every day. The croissants took a bit longer than usual to bake, so Lauren brought us a piece of banana bread with miso butter while we waited. The service is really amazing here. ? Between that and the super creative menu, I’m looking forward to coming for dinner!
