The best fried chicken and biscuits. I'm mad they are open only on the weekends.

For me it's not the best place to dine at but I go there for the catfish. It's the only place I have found that serves good fried catfish.

The more I visit DC the more I become familiar with places that tourists have not found, places where people from the neighborhood eat. Torrie's is one of those places. Such a gentle ambiance. Good food. We talked and ate and never felt rushed. And the value! Three people, full breakfasts, with coffee/tea. Under $25. Incredible. Enjoyed it very much. Hope to return.

I am working from home today so took myself out to breakfast. I went pescatarian for Lent, which makes breakfast difficult... so imagine my excitement when I remembered this place serves catfish and salmon cakes for breakfast. The fish is fried perfectly, the eggs are scrambled exactly to my liking, and this hot cake is everything. My belly is so very happy. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because this place is no-frills and the service was meh, but the food was just what I needed.

I have never been to this restaurant but any place that gives out a free meal on Christmas get five stars from me!

What a wonderful place to sit down and have some good old soul food. I may come back today for that dressing.

Wish I could give them no stars.

First time I went to this location they did not have any grease for the fish. I was highly upset because that was my main reason for going. I went back later in the week because they had a sale and also because I had already purchased a Groupon for this location and I was looking forward to it. Food was mediocre and I'm not interested in returning.

Torrie's is a Southern diner with great food and slow service. We go for breakfast and usually get crab cakes or a pork chop to take home. Did just that yesterday.

Nice view of the street at any table. Insects cascaded from the ceiling and littered my cold mushy meal. Cat was happy as Lucille as she loves insects. Good meal for the cat, me not so much. Nice people work here, I'll bring my own eggs next time.

This place is a diamond in the rough! Best bacon I've had in ages, the pancakes were flawless, the eggs were delicious, everything was stellar! Their people are super nice, and the decorations are so neat to look at! Definitely somewhere I'll be coming back to if I'm in the area!!
