Trouble Bird has such a great vibe especially by the fire pit outside. The atmosphere is cozy but still lively, perfect for a chill evening drink. I ordered the Midori Sour that was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented and the service was friendly. The space feels tucked away but still right in the middle of the Navy Yard energy. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for a relaxed night out or date.

I rediscovered Trouble Bird about a year ago, I knew it as Maxwells, and if you notice that name is still on credit card statements. Anyway, all the mixologists are amazing humans. Justin, Chris, Drew Ian have come together to form an amazing team…even the shy bar-back is always working overtime to make sure the guys have what they need so they serve you up amazing delicious cocktails! I almost never leave reviews…and in all My Reviews I say that lol! However, Sometimes, a small act of kindness can completely turn your day around. I probably spend 300-400 dollars a month at TB…buying my friends rounds and for business events as well. So paying is never an issue…however at Trouble bird is a place you come to relax…and find a little kindness…That's exactly what happened when my favorite/hot/m/Kind bartender Ian surprised me by buying my round tonight. It was a small act of kindness…he just said make sure you come back. The guys make you feel like, all their customers are their best friends…I seen them make sure ladies get safely into Ubers, deescalate conflicts and listen to your troubles with compassion, especially Justin. Chris gives the best high fives and hugs, and Drew is a man few words, but he makes sure they count and are impactful. I am leaving DC in a few weeks after 13 years…and I will miss these guys and this bar endlessly. They work hard and it shows. I don’t know how long they will stay a team but if you were lucky to drink here with you won’t soon forget it! My drink is called a water Lilly and it is delicious!

Highly recommend this fun cocktail bar! We held a private event at Trouble Bird a couple of weeks ago, and it went so well! The location is perfect for a buy-out with a small group. Intimate enough while not feeling too small, and comfortable enough for everyone to sit and mingle.
Justin and Chris did an amazing job! The food was SO good, service was great, and the cocktails (including NA options!) were excellent! They took the time to work with us on the menu of drinks and food, which made our event feel special.

I have loved this bar every time I've visited. The staff are super chill, the vibe is nice. It's relaxed and artsy without being too in your face about it. Their drinks are great, with good selection. I'm a big fan of their painkiller. They do have a happy hour too. My favorite part though is that they give you a little duck with every check. Adorable.

Hidden gem in Navy Yard. Particularly impressed by my bartender Drew. He brings a mysterious charm that pleasantly surprises you as the nectar from his meticulously produced cock(tail) touches your tongue. Will be back.

We love this bar! Staff is super chill and laid back, the vibe is relaxed. We played uno and had some cocktails with our new duck friends. When you pay you get special ducks, when we were here in December we got ducks with Santa hats☺️ Overall great, Andrew is amazing with recommendations.
