Service exceeded my expectations. Everyone enjoyed the service. The wait staff was excellent.
Outstanding Service experience from the moment of entry until departure. Upon arrival the host wished my daughter a Happy Birthday to the year (from her notes, no bday props-crowns, sash), the table was set with a birthday card for my daughter. Staff very engaged. Food was just okay. We forced fed ourselves and asked for sauce for one of the entrees as it was not very good. Dessert was very good. Drinks were good w/ Mocktail options. We boxed and left w/ most of our food. Salmon barely touched, 10oz/16oz of the steak, half crab cake and small portion of mashed potatoes all to doctor up later. The ticket was nearly $300 for 2 (mother/daughter-minor). The cost forced me to at least box the meal and take it. The service, ambience, attentiveness, carried the entire experience! Top tier!! Outstanding even!! Our waiter was top tier, personable, attentive, made recommendations, live music was great, two different floor service managers checked in on us, although attentive each time I mentioned food was “just okay and my daughter didn't like the salmon and requested a sauce” in hopes to complement the dish. Lightly acknowledged. Again, the restaurant did not disappoint with Service and Character, Overall experience at all. It served its purpose. Everyone who approached acknowledged her birthday. It was beautiful. Food just doesn't compliment the restaurant's great elegance.
My experience at Truluck's was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect and better than I thought it was going to be. The food was fantastic, the ambience was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and nice. I was celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and they really came through for him so I highly recommend Truluck's. I would come back again
Exceptional to say the least. We enjoyed the Sea Bass, Branzino & filet mignon. They were very accommodating for my allergy. Will certainly be returning.
I was looking forward to getting their all you eat stone crab claws but they stop offering that. :( There is a reason why items are listed in order they are to be served. I hated when the server brings first course, second course and main course at the same time. High end restaurant like Trulucks should know better. The food was great as always. Service could be better.
Anwar was great. Gabe was attentive and helpful...they both made our Anniversary dinner extra special. Thank you.
The service is exceptional. I was in town for a conference and was so excited to have the King Crab. It was perfectly cooked. The cocktails were inventive and delicious. Thank you for a great experience.
A perfect place to celebrate an anniversary.
The service was outstanding. The food was good just became cool shortly after receiving it. I had the Prime Rib was good but the meat and potatoes cooled off quickly. I still enjoyed my dinner.
I had the Prix Fixe menu, this is a great option The Sonoma salad was so fresh with nice crunch. The “petite” deserts were not small, the chocolate cake was heaven.

This is such a wonderful spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing, work, or conferencing. It's near Penn Quarter, Chinatown, and the convention center, yet does not feel touristy. You cannot go wrong with the fresh oysters during happy hour, especially the ones that are unique to Truluck's. So good -- in fact -- we went two days in a row. The cherry on top was our waitress, who was relatively new and very polished, knowledgeable and attentive.

The only issue when making reservations. It asked for occasion and allergies. When we arrived they did not ask for allergies and accompanied guest has a shellfish allergy. Which was about to end badly. Also, they did not acknowledge the occasion we were there for until the very end. The overall the food was delicious.
Truluck's provided one of the best dining experiences I've ever had for my friend and me tonight. It all started with our server Renee, who went above and beyond to make our evening spectacular and engaging. A special thanks to the hostess who provided the roses and petals for our table, as I requested when making the reservation. Renee went over the drink and dinner menus with exceptional knowledge, knowing what the specials/favorites were and what paired well with what. She not only provided phenomenal service, but she also engaged in conversations with us regarding her experience working there, the in and outs of the restaurant, and even some of her menu favorites. We couldn't get enough of the Parmesan rolls, and our drinks (Voila and Single Barrel Old Fashioned) were so good we ordered 2 each. I ordered the Miso Glazed Sea Bass and my friend got the Mediterranean Branzino. The Branzino had an excellent crisp around the edges, and my Sea Bass was one of the thickest pieces of fish I've ever had. The Crab Fried rice was an excellent pairing with the Asian vegetables. To cap off the night, we were given a generous slice of carrot cake since it was our first time dining there. Even the manager Anthony came by our table to chat with us. We ended the night by the bar listening to the amazing singer and pianist perform a medley of R&B hits. This was an unforgettable time and I look forward to future nights here.
It was my birthday dinner with my cousin and from the moment I entered the staff made me feel special. The restaurant is elegant, classy and romantic. The crystal chandeliers and each table setting designed perfectly with 3 freshly bloomed red roses centerpieces set the tone for dinner experience. As the sunset the room sparkled and was the perfect setting for an intimate dinner. As the night progress there was live music provided by a pianist who provided smooth jazz and R&B. The food was superb. Presented nicely and seasoned perfectly. I left full but light. The wait staff moved with urgency to provide phenomenal service with excellence. Empty plates were moved quickly. Clean silverware was provided for each course. And glasses were never empty. Also, I ordered a drink and they didn't have one of the ingredients, but the manager, Anthony Ray, went and got the ingredient for the drink I wanted. Excellent experience and I will be going back! Thank you Truluck for making my 49th birthday special!
The service was outstanding, our server was attentive and unobtrusive. He made the experience 10 times better. The food was delicious and the presentation was exceptional. The miso glazed sea bass was perfectly cooked and fresh. The vegetarian offerings were flavorful and delicious too!
