Visiting from out of state for a Metallica concert. Stopped by this gem of an establishment for some “fuel”. Tom was bartending and was great. Wish there were more places likes this back home. Perfect spot for a quick drink.

Went for my first time yesterday. Very chill crowd. Not too rowdy. Seems to be a neighborhood bar. Staff was very attentive and down to earth. Food was good. Affordable. All around good atmosphere. Will be back for sure

When you go to a bar and the bartender allows 2 patrons to ruin the night for everyone else by singing at the top of their lungs, you know it's somewhere you never want to go again.
Spewing your political beliefs while tending bar is a great way to ensure you don't have patrons.
I have never been to the place where they have No Regard for our Men and Women in the Military. The Bartenders, who have obviously never Served or supported our Military personnel, forced their opinions on the patrons in the bar. I Hope All Military Personnel and those of us Who support them, will Boycott this Establishment. Worst experience in DC Every.

Was bored on a Saturday afternoon and browsed Reddit for a local bar. Everyone said Trusty’s. Decided to check it out and was very impressed. Hot dog was the best I’ve ever had. Low key atmosphere. I had a lengthy conversation with Andrew, one of the managers, who shared his experiences growing up in the area. I felt very welcome and will make an effort to become a regular.

Maybe the last great dive bar near Capitol hill. Friendly staff. The upstairs bar is a bus. They serve chips and somehow almost all of them are full complete chips, not broken into tiny shards.
