They need to do a better job of paying attention. I used to really love this place but lately they are not getting it right. I had ordered the burger at least 20 times because of how good it was and they would always prepare it well done like I asked, but the last few times, it’s red when I get it delivered and missing the sauce as requested. Such a shame. I won’t be ordering here anymore.

We went to dinner at Unconventional Diner and found it to also be unimaginative, unimpressive, unremarkable and underwhelming.
The food was ok. Their burger is listed as a Top 10 burger in DC area and I would strongly disagree. It was a good burger. But the Top 10 rating set expectations that it fell short of. If I wasn’t expecting a great burger, I would have been pleasantly surprised. Expecting a top 10 burger left me underwhelmed.
The waiter was mostly attentive and polite. No real issues there.
The atmosphere is great if you want to feel like you’re eating in the middle of central station. It was so loud, we had to lean across a two foot wide table just to hear each other. All the tables are pushed very close together and it’s very crowded. Maybe I’m just not their target audience but for me it was a huge miss and I don’t see any reason to go back.
Parking: Almost impossible to find parking and you have to be careful not to end up on any number of rough streets close by.

I picked this place for my mom’s birthday brunch. It was a group of 9 of us together, our food came out in 5 mins (no kidding), we were shocked. Some of our food was cold tho so that was disappointing but overall everyone was satisfied with their food. I got the burger with bacon, it was so good. The drinks weren’t that good tho, I got. The Hawaiian punch, it tasted like it needed something idk.. We got a key lime pie as well and it was amazing , one of the best I ever had. Overall a good experience.

Checked out Unconventional Diner for brunch, and the pancakes were pretty good—fluffy and full of flavor. However, the service didn’t quite match the food. It was a bit slow, and we had to flag down the staff a couple of times.
The place has a cool vibe, but the service could definitely use some improvement. Overall, it was a decent experience and would suggest it to anyone in the area.

I had a wonderful lunch yesterday. Food was great and the staff really was wonderful.
We came to this place around 12:15pm for brunch. My husband had the French dip poutine and the cheesecake. As soon as we got home, he felt nauseated, feeling sick. It could be food poisoning.

What a great meal! The menu has such fun, interesting options and the food was somehow even better than we could have imagined. The corn bread was best we have EVER had. On top of it all, the service and atmosphere were excellent.
