Literarily the second week in a row I have showed up for a scheduled event and it did not happen. Craig, downstairs, was nice enough to comp one of my shots but after paying for a beer bust that did not actually happen, two weeks in a row, you guys have given me nothing but bullshit...You need to do SO much better....WTF? I am SO not showing up for the BS you pretend to do next....Figure out what you do...You suck.

I've been going to UpRoar for awhile! It's always a great vibe filled with a diverse crowd. When I talk to friends I call this place the "De Facto Bear Bar of DC". The staff is top tier and super friendly. The food is probably some of the best you'll get at any gay bar in the area. Their fries definitely have won my heart personally. If you're part of the Bear Community I highly suggest checking out Beer Bust as its such a lovely and great social event.

I love the ambience and the food is tasty and moderately priced. However, in my opinion, the roof deck area is what makes Uproar unique. The deck provides a great view of U Street and makes a nice environment to meet old friends and make new ones. Uproar comes closest to a 'bear' bar since the closing of the DC Eagle on New York Avenue in that it is the only bar in Washington that openly welcomes and acknowledges the bear community. 4 stars ****
