I stopped here for a beer alone after working a 10 hour shift and was delighted to try my first Black IPA, locally brewed no less! The barmaid was lovely and informative, however, the experience rapidly soured as one of the barmen and a customer who clearly hangs out frequently there attempted to get my attention and made remarks about my appearance even going so far as to whistle at me when I preferred to respond to my texts than dignify their undesired interruptions. I'm very sad that men like that are behind the counter of a perfectly lovely microbrewery and would ruin the experience for a weary gal who just wanted a beer by herself.

Tonight we enjoyed a pop up of chaos by Chef Ryan Hackney. The bacon with bourbon glaze and pickles was a nice combination of flavors. My husband really enjoyed the salmon served on a bed of sweet potatos. The beef on my burger was nicely seasoned and they didn't skimp on cheese! All in all, we had a lovely meal. It would be nice if instead of plastic disposable cutlery, they would provide metal flatware. It was a bit strange eating the beautiful dishes with a plastic fork, but I would certainly recommend the food by Chef Ryan. Fabulous flavors and beautiful presentation.

I went upstairs to a little party came downstairs, noticed there was food. I ordered a burger and a caesar salad, didn't open my food till I got home. But while I was in front talking with some gentlemen, a wonderful looking piece that came out and they offered me a slice, and I said well I don't mind at all period and it was very good. But my only thing when I got home to open my Caesar salad it was made with iceberg lettuce???? Romaine may cause 4¢more. But I hope you all got that together.

Great food, beer is just ok. The music they had on at the bar upstairs was so loud and incredibly obnoxious, this was at 4pm on a Friday. no one was up there.The service is otherwise fantastic!
The bartender was super hospitable and should consider a career in sales ~ Awesome spot with just as awesome wings and burgers! If you haven’t came here before you are missing out!

I’ve ordered food from apps to many times I can’t put a number on it. This was the worst food I ever had off of any of them.. I had the smash burger and truffle garlic fries. Garlic smell lasted half a day in the house they threw so much jar mince garlic & juices on the fries.plus the burger bottom bun was so soggy because all the toppings was on the bottom it was in edible, that bottom bun.. The driver was not to blame imo didn’t take that long.. The food could be decent in the establishment but I wouldn’t bet on it..
Extraordinary kind people, great selection of draft brews for every taste. Low key, welcoming atmosphere and convenient location. Will definitely visit every time we are in DC!
