We had a reunion of an old platoon meet there to preflight prior to going to the evening parade. I've got to say, Valor's was awesome! The beer was great, good variety on tap. Good mixed drinks, too. And excellent food. The tacos were excellent!
Unfortunately there was no beer on tap, and only two types of canned beer available with no option to try it. It was very disappointing. As often with DC beers naming doesn’t correspond to anything in real life. American crafty lager was super crispy, almost lemon. There was also a drunk guy sleeping at the bar. The barmen did a great job considering circumstances.
I stopped here for a beer alone after working a 10 hour shift and was delighted to try my first Black IPA, locally brewed no less! The barmaid was lovely and informative, however, the experience rapidly soured as one of the barmen and a customer who clearly hangs out frequently there attempted to get my attention and made remarks about my appearance even going so far as to whistle at me when I preferred to respond to my texts than dignify their undesired interruptions.
