I enjoy receiving meals from Vegetable and Butcher especially when I have a busy week and don’t feel like meal prepping. It’s a great healthy alternative. My comments to the entire team.

Really great options for healthy eating. Overall I liked most of the meals I tried. Breakfast portions were lacking but lunches and dinners were perfect.
Online platform is not ideal. You have to create multiple subscriptions if you want to have variation in your weekly options. It's the least flexible and least user friendly meal service I've had in that regard.
Love the sustainable/reusable packing. But like some other similar services, ice packs are placed below or above the meals, not in between. That's a good safety issue for me.
Would use again if their ordering system changed.

Food never arrived, first order too. Driver didn't even seem to try to deliver and left. Why leave a contact # for a 3am delivery? Times listed for delivery need to be expanded.

I first came across Vegetable and Butcher when they were out supporting a mountain biking event I was participating in. Everything I've had has been delicious, very fresh, and mindful. I love the compost program and the way they reuse the coolers and ice packs. Waste was my biggest issue with other meal programs. Can't wait to keep seeing what they make!

Update 6/4: Since this review, Vegetable and Butcher reached out and very kindly offered new meals to give me another introduction to their offerings, so I'm updating the number of stars, even though I won't be taking them up on their offer. I really appreciate their customer service going above and beyond in this case.Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with V+B’s offerings, in fact I think the two meals I had from them made me ill. I ended up with pretty bad stomach pains that lasted a few hours after each meal. First I ate the 3 Bean Tex Mex potato salad and had a mild stomach ache a few hours later. I thought it might be because the sauce was a bit spicy and sometimes I can get that from spicy food. Later, I had the Turnip salad with green grapes, just about the mildest food imaginable and that one really gave me pretty bad stomach issues later in the day. I’m assuming my feeling bad was from the meals because it was the only common denominator on both days I got sick and I had eaten nothing after them.Even independent of the meals not sitting well with me, I generally did not enjoy them. The potato salad was about as bland as can be outside of the spicy sauce it came with. I was also a bit annoyed that the meal didn’t indicate it was spicy on the website.Speaking of the website; it’s clunky to use. Making changes to your menu on a weekly basis is limiting because you can only change the number of a certain meal. You can’t choose different meals.Customer service was prompt at least when I had questions.Ultimately, I ended up cancelling my subscription after the first delivery
