I ordered two sandwiches, a sausage egg and cheese bagel and a cream cheese bagel. They gave me a single sausage egg and cream cheese bagel and charged me the price of the two bagels. Who would order that. It was disgusting.

Wagshal's is a cozy spot with fresh, delicious deli fare and breakfast options. The bagels, sandwiches, and pastries are always tasty and made with care. It’s casual, friendly, and a great place to grab a quick meal or snack.

Came to meet with my old friend and we had a terrible experience with Bill, who was rude and unprofessional. Absolutely ruined our visit to this place.

The customer service was excellent. The ambience was also great. I was totally disappointed with the $15 cheese burger, It was nothing short of a frozen beef patty the same as what you would get at McDonald’s except larger. The fries looked as if they exploded and imploded poor quality. My Overall experience with Wagshal ‘s was not a fulfilling one. $22 for.

I do enjoy Wagshals. They gave my son the wrong order. The chicken soup was really good but a bit salty, usually my favorite. Tuna sandwich was good. I definitely will try again. Hopefully they get it right.

very clean, a great assortment of products and really friendly staff. However, I paid nearly $20 with tax for a turkey Panini sandwich that was bland, dry, and definitely over priced. Not sure I risk another $20 at this place again.

I was disappointed with my experience here. I found a piece of wrapper on the cheese of the 2nd half my sandwich and mistakenly ate some. When I brought it up, the cashier was reluctant to issue a refund even after showing him the chewed-up paper. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, apologized, refunded me, and offered to remake the sandwich. I appreciate the manager’s response, but the situation shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Groceries tend to be overpriced. They had a 50% off takeout desserts after 7:00pm which was a great offer. They just removed it, which was disappointing

This place is poorly ran. I've been here 3 times and had an issue each time. It's also overpriced and the food isn't that good. But, it's damn near the only place to eat in the surrounding area, so thats how they're still in business.

Employee tried telling me that the brisket sandwich included corned beef and offered me the Ruben sandwich instead of the item I ordered. I tried explaining that corned beef and brisket are two different types of meats, but this employee was incompetent and only offered corned beef.

Was just helped by a kind man working the butcher section, didn’t catch his name but am consistently pleased with all interactions with workers here. Thanks!

They gave me the wrong sandwich with none of the substitutions I requested. They overcharged me for extra meat and said they refunded it but I never received the refund. Then, the sandwich had a piece of blue sponge in it!

This isn’t much of an eat-in place. We ordered two sandwiches, totaling $35 for just the sandwiches- that’s fairly premium sandwiches. The one that cost $18 was almost inedible and went to the bin. The other one was “carelessly” made i.e. with poor aesthetics and was of mediocre taste. My impression is that this place serves overpriced, low quality food.
Staff was great and friendly though.

Charged more than their listed menu prices! I ordered a turkey sandwich that was listed as $16.50 on their large menu boards, and then was charged $18 for the sandwich at check out (prior to any taxes/additional costs). When I asked the manager about it, he explained that the menu boards were “out of date” and that they’ve been “trying to get it changed.” The sandwich was tasty and filling, but it was a frustrating experience to find out that the listed costs were incorrect after my meal had already been prepared, especially when I felt that I was already splurging on a deli sandwich. This seems like it also violates DC’s Consumer Protection Procedures Act.
