I had honestly almost entirely lost hope in finding good, authentic, and affordable Asian food in Chinatown until I randomly stumbled upon Wasai. It, admittedly, doesn’t look like much at first glance — the decor is pretty utilitarian, the menu is pretty simple, and they share their space with a Gong Cha. However, the simplicity of their menu and decor is what makes Wasai shine — they do one thing (okay maybe two things), and they do those things incredibly well.

Ordered 2 beef noodle soup with a pork burger. Mine is hand shaved and my wife's thin noodle. Loved the noodle and it reminds me of Xi'an famous noodle at NYC which is awesome. I like the texture of the noodle so much. Both

Pork burger was not great so wouldn't order again. Pretty plain and unremarkable
Went here with my father. Everything was pretty good, the wanton soup wasn’t the best in my opinion but everything else was awesome. Service was self serve so pretty simple.

Vegetarian options: there are some I’m pretty sure
