Lots of lovely outdoor seating. Pastries were not good, overpriced and lackluster like a grocery store.
We stopped by twice when visiting for a weekend! Great drinks, fun baked goodies, and a selection of drinks and dips. Wish we could have stayed and chilled on the outdoor patio!

It was the worst cappuccino which I ever had in my life. The milk was so hot that I burned my tongue and couldn't sleep during the whole night. I had very bad experience with this place!

Aside from the atmosphere, this place is not good. The cappuccino was 12oz (cappuccino should be 5-6oz) and the milk was steamed WAY too hot. When I asked about sandwiches they suggested the breakfast sandwich, which was a gross, pre-made bacon, egg, and cheese stuffed croissant which after one bit revealed a gross, over-cooked (microwaved) egg. Then the biscotti - covered in chocolate and soft…just no. The menu isn’t revolutionary, it should t be hard to deliver decent coffee and breakfast foods. I don’t know why this place is ever busy.

So cute
I waited for 5 minutes at the counter until the woman behind it acknowledged me. I ordered a chai latte and it was literally a cup of milk with a faint hint of chai taste.
This spot really used to be of quality and these past several years have really went down in any quality. There small ready-made snacks/apps are way over priced(priced as if it was a meal) $9+ (not worth its bland quality)
The chai was mostly milk and syrup. And the coffee taste burnt and bitter EVeRY time

Lovely little spot Accross from Lincoln Park. The have a nice wine variety with some sparkling water and sodas for sale. If you have a sweet tooth you can indulge in chocolate or a pastry. There is outside seating to enjoy your goodies. They make a great cup of coffee as well.
One of my favorite cafés in Washington just keeps getting better and better. The pastry is excellent, coffee and strong and good, and the walk up window has made ordering and pick up I sent for residence and visitors to Capitol Hill alike. When I first moved to DC in 2009, I discovered and appreciated this spot for expensive but delectable picnic ingredients for Lincoln Park across the street. Years later, they have that and more, with an expanded patio space and renovated. It may come the closest to European Café culture that exists on the hill today, which makes it a true gem in my view. Plus, they offer free “pup cups” to all of the neighborhood’s dogs, a lovely, fun sweet be I imagine improves consumer loyalty. customer satisfaction, and community affection in unmeasurable ways.

BEST cafe & market in DC! And has such friendly staff! Highly recommend. :-)
The chai latte is well spiced. The ham & cheese croissant is light and buttery but could've used more ham. The blueberry scone is perfect scone texture and spot on flavor. All the food was delicious and the chai was fantastic. The mochais good but left a little to be desired.
This place has an epic patio, but calling it a wine cafe is the fakest of news. You can buy wine, but not drink it. Total disappointment.
