Hands down the most DELICIOUS meal we had on our trip to Washington DC! The owner was incredibly kind and charismatic, explaining the history of the dish and ensuring we had a 5-star experience. Love that it’s vegan AND filling and yummy. The flavor, spice, and texture of the dish were fantastic. Do yourself a favor and stop by!
Simple and flavorful. The gentleman really wants you to enjoy your meal so he will ask if you will eat it right away or a little later so he will package your food differently. Gives you a little cultural background on how the dish came to be so you really appreciate your food.
Just brought home a small koshary and it’s absolutely delicious. Give it a try at the Eastern Market outside the natatorium! This new discovery made my day. I’ve lived in the neighborhood 55 years, and it’s great to find something new and flavorful.
