The food is extremely overpriced. My wife and I paid over $70 for 2 kabob sandwiches and small coffees. No sides. Will not return.

Potato things are good.
Everything is in to go containers.
No plates or anything to eat off of so you make a big mess at the table.
Extremely small portions.
Too loud and crowded.

Everything is great! Delicious pastries, pitas, and hummus. We shared a bone-in short rib this evening and it was excellent

came for the kebab dinner. wow! splendid food and quick service on a weekday. rich flavors in the meat and the vegetables but the pita in my opinion was average
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and overall amazing. The person who helped us gave good recommendations. Some of the things were a bit overpriced for what you’re getting, but they did have interesting food and drink options.
Parking is horrible, but that’s to be expected in Union market. there were a lot of people doing work on their laptops but other than that, there was a pretty good amount of space to be seated if you could find it.

This review is for All the Kabobs. Came here for dinner with some family to try out a variety of kabobs. Ended up ordering the kefta, octopus, rib eye, prawn and lamb chop. Overall the food was delicious, the kabobs were cooked well and had great flavors with the variety of spices they use. One thing to note is that they'll all get served in one platter vs each person having an individual dish of their own which was fine but wasn't aware of this until the food arrived. Also, charging $25 for just 1 kefta with no side is pretty steep, it should at least come with something on the side. If you do want bread and veggies, it'll cost you more. Again, everything was good just overpriced for the amount of food you get.

Disclaimer: This cafe is NOT halal and I was misinformed by a friend when I visited. It seems silly that they aren’t halal given the menu and theme of the restaurant, and I sincerely hope they begin offering at least a partially halal menu. I was extremely disappointed by this news given how excited I was about the experience!
Overall, YELLOW is a must-visit if you’re in DC. The food, combination of flavors, fresh ingredients, overall vibe, and creativity of the menu make for an exceptional experience. The pastries, egg pita, and drinks were all outstanding, with the egg pita really shining. The lunch options are also extremely good and fairly unique. If you haven’t visited before, you need to stop by!

Really overpriced for what it is and there’s also an “employee wellness fee” that should just be put into the menu prices. The egg pita — like $11 after tax — was decent and didn’t feel heavy. I ordered some kind of cardamom iced coffee that didn’t really taste like the description. They seem to encourage you to buy the expensive flavored coffees, because I didn’t see regular coffees on the menu next to the cashier, but of course they exist and maybe I just missed them.

I recently visited their union market location for breakfast. I loved most oftheir pastry specially croissant filled with labne. Their shakshuka was also decent in taste. I would definitely come back to try their other items.

We had the great pleasure to dine at Yellow for the debut of their “All the Kebabs” restaurant concept. We have to say that the food was phenomenal. The Kefta and Sujuc-spiced Octopus were two highlights, and the Halloumi was also impressive. The bread that accompanies the kebabs was impressive, and the habibi rice was outstanding. The cocktails were amazing, especially the Shatta-tini, keep it forever on the menu. Despite having only debuted this experience, the service was exceptional too. Overall, this was an amazing part of Yellow that we look forward to experiencing again.
P.S. It is a bit pricey but the quality is outstanding.

Love this place! It gets busy at lunch so beware. Get the tots no matter what. And I prefer the falafel over the cauliflower pita - it has the most amazing pickled beets. So amazing that I bought beets to eat at home. Love love love.
