Z Burger (Capitol Hill)

I want to support more local places but this just isn't the place for me.

The chicken sandwich is tasty but the previous food place at this address (wasn't a chain) had the same basic thing with fries for a small amount more.

The milkshake bar/table takes up too much space leaving the dining area cramped.

They have a tendency to leave holiday decorations up well past said holiday.

They have Fox News on the television with the volume on.

The Place was like a diner. Cute and cozy, but retro. While I was in D.C. I went to this place 3 times, each was amazing, and definitely worth it. I recommend it for the love of burgers and milkshakes.

Wow....I was hungry waiting for someone to arrive at Union Station and decided to try Z Burger. Never had one so this was a first for me. The Staff was helpful and patient with my ordering. The selections and options were plentiful for a Fast Food operation...cheese steaks, hot dogs, turkey and plant based burgers. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger and the half/half Onion Rings and Fries. Boy-o-Boy. I was very pleasantly surprised. This wasn't Fast Food but a gourmet burger you.might get from a fancy restaurant. First, the burger was top quality beef pressed into action right in front of you. Cooked, it had the right amount of texture, grease and taste. Then the melted American Cheese tasted like REAL CHEESE. On top of the routine lettuce and tomato, I added jalapeño peppers and onions which were both generously chunky, tasty and aromatic. The fries and onion rings were hot and crispy, perfectly complimenting the delicious burger.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS Z BURGER AND THEY SHOULD EXPECT A REPEAT CUSTOMER.

A DELICIOUS array of shakes, malts, floats, and concretes. I’ve been here so many times and keep finding new flavors to try! Highly recommend 😋

Be careful when walking in here!!You will slip and slide. I would have given a 3.5 stars.

The turkey burger with cheese, without mushrooms was delicious.
Expensive but delicious.

My work day is not complete until I come to my local Z burger. The whole staff is friendly. It’s always clean and fresh food. I wish I could be here on the weekends. I live here 5 days a week more than enough food for the prices. They are the place to beat not just because of the name but the staff. You’re missing the best meal you could ever digest. Go on by, they won’t disappoint.

This place has declined very much. The restaurant does not have central air. The same three ladies work, and they are always a professional.

Today, we visited this restaurant and noticed a new charge being added to each item we ordered. I attempted to order a chicken sandwich and fries and there was an additional $0.81 added to my tab for serving and packaging the food. My coworker attempted to order a cheeseburger, and an additional $0.55 was added to her order.

I’m not sure what is happening, but the build is rundown, no A/C and you have to wait for at least 30 minutes to receive your order. They will no longer receive my money.

Great experience at Z-Burger. The staff were friendly, the service was smooth, and the food hit the spot.
Burger was fresh, fries were crisp, and everything came out fast without any hassle. No gimmicks, no pressure—just solid food and respectful service. I’ll definitely be back. Places like this earn loyalty the right way.

Good burger great friendly personal service. They ask you for the sauces you want to put in the sandwich . You can eat inside or at the outside tables . Service Also to take away

They claim they have 75 flavors. But ill never know. And you may not know either. When I went to place my order (4 hours before closing), the guy said i'm not making anymore shakes. Didn't give an explanation, other than he just wasn't making anymore. Besides that,
Inside was extremely hot. The food is pretty good. The fries did taste exactly like 5 guys.
I definitely won't be back. $30 for a burger, fries and onion rings and a bottle of soda.

Waaaaaaaay better than 5 guys. Fries were fresh & burger was too. Most importantly,
they were delicious!!!! I was shocked & pleasantly surprised. At 11pm, staff looked, tired but still fought thru it & were courteous. Great job guys. 🫡
