Everything was just perfect! My girlfriend loved everything. Everyone was really nice to her as well.

Manager wasn't particularly welcoming. Wait staff was excellent. Food was very good, well-priced, and varied. Great drinks menu. Has a nice buzz and ambiance yet we could still hear each other. Great option.

After living in Japan from r three years I find many good Japanese restaurants but none quite like those restaurants in Japan. Then I found Zeppelins in DC! I love the food, the service and the ambiance! Presentation was simply beautiful !

Best sushi restaurant so far in the City according to my son who has lived her 1.5 years. We both thought it was really wonderful. It was melt in your mouth sushi and highly recommend ordering the Chef's Special and wished we had upgraded to premium. I love eel and my son loves salmon and we both thought our meals were so good that we had to order more! The dessert was light and fluffy and was told it was made with pastry cream, orange liquor, chocolate, and black pepper. Who could come up with a recipe like that! Once tasted on your tongue it was just a perfect consistency and taste combined! Highly recommend this place! Our server was attentive and made sure we had enough water, enough food and was great to talk to! Thank you Raven for making this an even nice experience for mom and son!

Amazing food but the bartender was clearly drunk and it made things uncomfortable. Also the food runner did not know which fish was which and the bartender did not come over to list them out.

Other servers seem good and I would return for the food and just not sit at the bar If he was working. I got the sushi combo and the tofu Agedashi - both delicious.

Solid sushi spot with a great, though somewhat pricey sake menu. I find myself frequently recommending Zeppelin to friends and for the price they are one of the best spots in the city. The fish is handled well and they have a good selection with more interesting options than you'd find at many other restaurants. Also a lot of their apps like the okonomiyaki and takoyaki are excellent.

For the food, best sushi in town. For the service, idk why this place is cheap. I order it on a biweekly basis and they never get me the extra ginger I request. I order for parties of 3+ and the ginger they put is clearly insufficient for one person. Today I called requesting the extra ginger in the phone after ordering, the person in the phone replied with “of course it’s already requested”. Ordered a 100$ worth of sushi and got barely ginger for two and two soy sauce and 3 chopsticks. Come on…

The experience was amazing! My girlfriend and I visited to celebrate an anniversary and they accommodated us even with some special requests she had made. The ambiance of the restaurant was incredible and the food was nothing short of amazing! I would definitely recommend and the next time I’m visiting DC I will absolutely be stopping by Zeppelin again!

We got got married recently (more accurately eloped, I guess?) and wanted to celebrate by eating somewhere nice. After some research, we landed here. The look and feel of the restaurant is very lovely. The staff were all wonderful - our waitress was extremely attentive.
The takoyaki did not disappoint but the kushiyaki left something to be desired. I have been on a quest for a place with good skewers. They looked promising and the texture is superb but the flavor is.. not much, honestly. Skip the chicken but the pork belly was alright. I very much enjoyed my eel and avocado roll and my husband thought his roll and sashimi selections were delicious and some of the best presentation he'd seen in a rainbow roll. Desserts were great (especially the matcha tiramisu!!!). FINALLY a place that has some decent desserts. I know Japanese cuisine has a lot to offer in the way of sweets but somehow every restaurant falls flat here. Thank you Zeppelin!
Our check came with a postcard, and we're now unsure if we were meant to take it.. if we weren't, please forgive us. I hope the 30% tip makes up for it. 😭

Bumped into to this establishment for the first time while taking a walk in the neighborhood and what intrigued me was the aesthetics and decor. It gave me a gothic appeal. Jake was the bartender and he suggested a coffee , banana , concoction which he made for another customer which was out of this world. The ambience and vibe is very chill and relaxed. I will definitely come again when in the area.
