Some of our local neighbors recommended this place to us. The Cottage Cafe opened its doors in June of 1993. In 2022, Brent & Tom sold the business to SoDel Concepts, a local family-owned business. This was my first time here. My family and friends of 5 were here around 2 PM on Sunday for happy hour. They had four flat screen TVs with all of the local football games playing including CBS. We were lucky to score 5 adjacent bar stools with backs in a row. I started with and enjoyed my two Cottage Rum Punches with Cruzan rum, OJ, pineapple and grenadine for $10 each or $20 total. I also enjoyed my fried flounder with lettuce, tomato, onions, lemon, tartar on a toasted bun served with hand cut fries and cole slaw for $12. The flounder is normally fried, however I was able to get my flounder broiled and blackened rather than fried. Bartender Taylor M. explained the happy hour menu choices. Taylor was very friendly to us as newcomers and served us very well. I ended my dinner with my favorite draft Guinness for $7. My total bill was $77, excluding gratuity. We all agreed we will return here again for happy hour on Sunday or another day.
Stellar service and amazing food. Kid friendly atmosphere. Drinks and food came quickly and everyone we interacted with was courteous. Highly recommend!

Got the Turkey dinner. Food was nothing special. They use to have carved turkey but it tasted more like it came from a turkey roll. They don’t serve dark meat anymore and they cut out there cream spinach which they have had for quite awhile. It was not crowded at all like it use to be. It was better under the previous management.

People were in the bar area and if you are near the bar doors, it's very loud. Otherwise was a great experience with friendly staff.

The food is wonderful and plentiful. We had a fun night at Feud night tonight ( Thursdays). Trivia on Tuesdays.

We started eating at The Cottage Cafe in the mid 90's while living in Maryland and always excellent. We just returned to New Hampshire from a week long stay in Bethany Beach and had lunch take out twice. As good as always...their crab cakes truly rock! The best fried chicken my wife has had in years, and wonderful BBQ sandwiches/Philly cheesesteak. A large amount of delicious fries and some good Cole slaw on top of it. Service was top notch and I felt good value for the money. When in Delaware beaches/Ocean City MD, I certainly recommend a visit.
We went on a Sunday night and not at all crowded. No wait for a table. Our waiter was very good and the food was fantastic.Several of us got the crab cakes that were very good. The kids got chicken fingers meal they really liked it. Another in our party got the pot roast and he said it was very good. They also have the best crushes.
My husband got a burger and wanted it medium and it was well done. The fries were very greasy. Our waitress was very awkward and seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered.
