Always great food and wonderful atmosphere
We are infrequent (yearly) repeat customers. The Fish Camp Stew was mediocre. The mussels were barely edible. I can buy mussels in the grocery store that put Matt's mussels to shame. The shrimp and clams were overcooked. The grilled bread was the best part of the meal. The crab cakes were average, but had too much mayo. The cole slaw was bland. I should share my favorite recipe. The waitress was awesome. The atmosphere is homey, but appeals to me.

Went to the location in Bethany Beach. This was my first time. The restaurant does not take reservations and we came in at 7 PM on a Monday evening and had to only wait about 20 minutes. The service and food are delicious and they have specials on different days. Monday is it 25% off the check. We started off with the calamari which was extremely tender and not spicy. It was accompanied with a delicious tomato sauce, which was quite mild. One of us had the fish stew and the other one had the crabcakes both entrées were fantastic.

Fried shrimp was excellent. We were at State Park and Big Chill was 45 minute wait. Highly recommend the 4 minute drive here.

Had lunch at the bar. Service was great. Bloody Mary and Old Fashioned were really good. We split a dozen oysters. 3 varieties. Shucked beautifully with lots of juice. My friend enjoyed the fish po boy. Fried oysters were perfect and a big portion. All in all a great lunch.

The food, the drink, the beachy atmosphere and even a happy hour? Dang. The crush was bomb, local beer was great. Mussels, crab dip, and lobster deviled eggs were all tops. Plus the onion rings are the ideal fat and crispy all rings wish they were.

The food came out on nice plates.
We enjoyed sitting at the bar and meeting new people. We also enjoyed talking with the bartender. The food was very good and the watermelon crushes were terrific!

Swordfish and local peaches and summer corn simply done and blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, yum! First time at the outdoor seating area and was perfect for the two of us.
