We are infrequent (yearly) repeat customers. The Fish Camp Stew was mediocre. The mussels were barely edible. I can buy mussels in the grocery store that put Matt's mussels to shame. The shrimp and clams were overcooked. The grilled bread was the best part of the meal. The crab cakes were average, but had too much mayo. The cole slaw was bland. I should share my favorite recipe. The waitress was awesome. The atmosphere is homey, but appeals to me.
Went to the location in Bethany Beach. This was my first time. The restaurant does not take reservations and we came in at 7 PM on a Monday evening and had to only wait about 20 minutes. The service and food are delicious and they have specials on different days. Monday is it 25% off the check. We started off with the calamari which was extremely tender and not spicy. Had lunch at the bar. Service was great. Bloody Mary and Old Fashioned were really good. We split a dozen oysters. 3 varieties. Shucked beautifully with lots of juice. My friend enjoyed the fish po boy. Fried oysters were perfect and a big portion. All in all a great lunch.
