The Java Bean Cafe is an absolute Jem! We ordered a spicy burrito to share and 2 lattes. The drinks were 🤩 amazing and the spicy burrito was one of the tastiest most delicious things I have ever eaten.

My cousin and I have been on a journey to visit all 50 states! Well on December 9th, we finally marked our 50th state off the list- Delaware! Before heading back to the airport, we decided to stop in The Java Bean!

We were immediately greeted by the wonderful owner Joe! He was so kind! We began chatting and we shared with him about our journey and reason for visit ! He thought it was pretty neat so he snapped our picture and posted on his local Nextdoor app!

If you’re ever in the area- highly recommend this cafe! You won’t be disappointed!

Joe, thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

Realistically Speaking with Ms Realistic

Monday thru Friday I’m in that long ssa line for Dunkin Donuts coffee🤦🏾‍♀️ It’s quick(not so quick) and convenient🤷🏾‍♀️ However; this past Saturday morning, I wanted something different!!! Normally I’ll just go to Starbucks and call in the day. But I just wasn’t feeling that at all. I searched for coffee shops in the area; and came across this one. From the pictures; the food looked amazing and the reviews were giving 5 star so I said: “let me check this place out for myself”😏 Needless to say; it didn’t disappoint!!! I had some type of peach latte that had my taste buds in love😍 There were so many different varieties to choose from; that I didn’t know what to get. We dine in and had some great conversation in a laid back type of atmosphere:) The one thing I like the most was….. All of the board games and puzzles in the back(nice touch). Definitely will be coming back:)

Love barista Landan! He makes the best drinks and shares his smile with everyone who walks in the door! Fun latte flavors like sweet peach & lavender honey that you won’t find anywhere else.

We stopped by for a breakfast sandwich (the philly sunrise--yum!) and an iced pumpkin marshmallow latte. Both were amazing. We enjoyed everything so much, we ordered another iced latte (chocolate raspberry and snickerdoodle) for each of us to go! If we're back in town, we'll be sure to come back.

I really don't want to sound unpleasant especially since this is a family owned business and not a franchise. However, I'm not impressed by the quality of the menu items. I've been to Java Bean twice now. The bread in the avocado toast seemed to be old and already dried out before it was toasted. I asked for over medium on the eggs and the yolk was cooked powdery dry. I was excited to see milk tea on the menu but that quickly went south. I was expecting something similar to HK or Chinatown milk tea. Instead of evaporated milk, normal milk was used and tasted sour. If I didn't take it to go, I would've politely asked for a refund. The only thing I can speak highly of is the lax atmosphere of the cafe... 🤷🏻‍♂️
