Though I have never been to Rita's in Claymont, I have had the misfortune of having had Rita's so-called Italian water ice once or twice at another location. Like any other chain Italian water ice it is horrible and nothing like real authentic Italian water ice. It would be best to go out of the way to real Italian water ice places or best just to go get an ice popsicle. We dont go to Rita's a lot because with a family of 5, a trip there ends up costing a lot. Well today we went because our pool trip had to be canceled because of a storm that swept through and we wanted to give our kids and their friends a little treat. When we got there, there were no other customers. The girl who waited on us was literally on her cell phone the entire time. I went there today with my daughters and their friends. There was only one other customer when we got there so it wasn't busy at all. The girl who took care of my family was literally on her cell phone the ENTIRE time. She made it quite clear she was annoyed each time I ordered something. i tried to order a milkshake for myself and she stormed to the back for a few minutes before she came up and told me they ran out of custard.
