Great humble little spot. The food is good the atmosphere feel soul foody. It's right down the street from my work so I have been a couple times.

Every dish i ordered was very tasty. Yes, I am going, and I'm taking a few family members . The FISH was very good.

The place was empty when I visited. This was my 2nd time since it opened!!

Unfortunately, this visit was not a good one by any means.

When I was waiting for my food to be packaged up... the young lady had gloves on that she was using to take money and pack up the food. My platter, which had fish, was sticking out of the syrifoam container and ahe just put it in the bag. So my food was touching the inside of the plastic bag.

Pro: Good service.

Cons: The shrimp was like tiny popcorn shrimp... 😳
The green beans were under seasoned and well UNDER COOKED. The yams were a stringy pile of thin, soupy, less desirable sweet potatoes. And my potatoe salad was placed on the same container as my hot food.

This definitely WILL be the LAST time that I support this business.

It doesn't appear to put LOVE quality into the food as it EXPECTS the community to support them. I would NEVER recommend a soul to dine there. Honestly, I was embarrassed for the business.

I am very disappointed that I even spent my hard earned money in that place.

Unfortunately, DE doesn't have many choices of a real GOOD slap ya momma SOUL FOOD place to grab a decent platter from. You would THINK that ones that do exist would take PRIDE in their business, customer service, and presentation of food a bit more serious.

Was wanting fish and the place I normally frequent is still closed due to a fire , so I gave this place a try and it was good fish was right out the fryer hot I could feel the heat before it touched my lips and the hot sauce must be homemade and it was caliente but overall a good experience and I will revisit

I got takeout. Catfish nuggets, mac n cheese and the reggae rice. This was top notch and I will definitely be back to try more.
