The place was empty when I visited. This was my 2nd time since it opened!!

Unfortunately, this visit was not a good one by any means.

When I was waiting for my food to be packaged up... the young lady had gloves on that she was using to take money and pack up the food. My platter, which had fish, was sticking out of the syrifoam container and ahe just put it in the bag. So my food was touching the inside of the plastic bag.

Pro: Good service.

Cons: The shrimp was like tiny popcorn shrimp... 😳
The green beans were under seasoned and well UNDER COOKED. The yams were a stringy pile of thin, soupy, less desirable sweet potatoes. And my potatoe salad was placed on the same container as my hot food.

This definitely WILL be the LAST time that I support this business.

It doesn't appear to put LOVE quality into the food as it EXPECTS the community to support them. I would NEVER recommend a soul to dine there. Honestly, I was embarrassed for the business.

I am very disappointed that I even spent my hard earned money in that place.

Unfortunately, DE doesn't have many choices of a real GOOD slap ya momma SOUL FOOD place to grab a decent platter from. You would THINK that ones that do exist would take PRIDE in their business, customer service, and presentation of food a bit more serious.

Was wanting fish and the place I normally frequent is still closed due to a fire , so I gave this place a try and it was good fish was right out the fryer hot I could feel the heat before it touched my lips and the hot sauce must be homemade and it was caliente but overall a good experience and I will revisit

I got takeout. Catfish nuggets, mac n cheese and the reggae rice. This was top notch and I will definitely be back to try more.

I received a flyer in the mail that this restaurant closes at 8:00 PM Friday and Saturday. I called on Friday at 7:15 PM and was told "we close at 7". The person who answered was however polite.

2024 UPDATE: what happened? greens, beans and catfish were extremely salty and over priced. I will never order from them again.

The food was nasty. Fish unseasoned mac n cheese was dehydrated. The food has just fell off. Not the same.

Literally, I have concerns for food prep after waiting fifteen minutes from ordering and my food was cold. A supposed jerk chicken and beef patties were 90% texturally contradicting to the main ingredient being ‘chicken (jerk) and beef’. The spices were gently present through the “refried beans” used to consider it a patty. The pie crust was too heavy, doughy and dry.Ultimately , my experience resulted in a bloated and extremely gassy digestion several hours after consumption.My question is, how ‘authentic’ is your restaurant recipes? Overall, not a happy first-time experience.

I will never go here again. Horrible food was cold mac and cheese look 10 days old and waited forever. Do not waste your money going here. Wish i could give them a 0 instead of 1. Should be closed down

I ordered curry shrimp and an oxtail platter. There were 8 medium sized shrimp with no sauce. When I opened the oxtail, there was one small oxtail with meat. It also contained four more tiny oxtails with ABSOLUTELY no meat.

When I called the place, they told me the curry sauce must have been absorbed into the rice. Regarding the oxtail, I was told they placed more in there than that. You really think I would waste my time to call, if that’s was the case. For the solution, he asked for my first and last name to give me money off the next time. Like no, there won’t be a next time. I just hope no one else experiences what we went through. Close to $45-50 for flavored rice and bland cabbage. Happy Friday! By time you read this, they’ll be out of business!

Horrible. They over charged me for my order. Turkey wings were trash. Portions small and salty. Real salty. 51 bucks for turkey wing platter and a large catfish platter. No worries. Most me that much to rid myself of you guys. Place was a mess. So long.
