Very clean, professional, delicious, we walked to the restaurant for take out the dinner was still perfectly hot when we got home. Highly recommend all sides and the fried chicken.

When I googled fried fish this restaurant came up and it did not disappoint. Kiana worked the front and she was pleasant and answered questions very nicely. You can smell the food before entering the door and it smelled like home. The portions were excellent for the price and the food outstanding. Thank you for a real soul food restaurant in DE. I am not from the area, 30 minutes away but it will be worth the drive. I found the right place at the right time. God bless your business!!

Great fries with a crunchy coating. Catfish was perfectly cooked, with a thin cornmeal coating having just the right amount of crispiness. Nice sauce for the fish. Fried chicken was crunchy and tasty with a great spicy-sweet sauce; chicken didn’t have a puddle of oil under it, so kudos for draining it well out of the fryer. Collards were ok, but had too much smoke flavoring ( liquid smoke?)—prefer a more mild smoky taste from cooking it with smoked meat. Super nice folks dishing up delicious food. Service was quick.

I've been craving real fried chicken (soul food). I'm new to the area and decided to take a walk to see what's around. I almost walked past this little hidden gem! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the young lady behind the counter. I placed my order and waited for about 10 maybe 15 minutes. I order the 4 piece wing combo with Mac and cheese. I had to do the review before I was finished the meal. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Fried hard but not dried out. They also gave me a sweet and sour sauce which went great with the chicken. The mac and cheese I will say didn't look to appealing but tasted great. I will be trying other dishes from here in the weeks to come!

The food was spectacular! We got chicken, candied yams, corn and mac and cheese. The yams were sweet, but not drowning in sugar. The corn was good, but the mac and cheese was award winning! Very good cheddar flavor and tasting like it just came out of your grandmothers oven. Good sized portions of everything. We just moved here & we will definitely order again.

I cannot review the food here or the service as they were closed at 5:30. It says they are open until 7:00, but obviously that doesn't work every day. I'm really bummed because I was hoping to try this place out. I'm giving four stars due to it being closed at a time when they were allegedly supposed to be open.
