My very first time eating soul food and this was Fantastic!! My wife and I got the platters 1 Crab cake platter and 1 Short rib platter with 2 sides each. This the best Soul Food I have ever tasted. The vegetables are amazing. The cabbage was not over seasoned and not greasy. I finally found a good take out. You can also eat in. You have got to try this place. Oh, I forgot to mention the Mac and cheese WOW.

Tomeka’s Homestyle Eatery is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent customer service. The entire facility was spotless, comfortable, and welcoming; just the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
And the food? Simply amazing! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, but the real standout for me were the candied yams; sweet, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell every dish is made with love and care. I’ll definitely be back soon!

The fish and chicken are cooked to order so be prepared to wait a couple of minutes for fresh food. Thank you for restoring my faith in restaurants. I wish all restaurants followed your model.

Pretty good soul food. The ribs were absolutely fall off the bone, and the whitefish was good. The yams are outstanding, the mac and cheese is decent, and my wife liked the collard greens. Cornbread was just okay, not bad, just not outstanding. Service was excellent and the staff was exceedingly friendly. Definitely would love to come back again.

Food was excellent. This was my first time and I ordered carryout. Pork chops mac and cheese yams and greens. Staff was very professional and courteous. Only open 3 days always run out of food I traveled 30 minutes to to get there at least by 1:00 when I got there there ran out of whiting only had white fish only 1 slice of meatloaf left had no more corn bread or dinner rolls What happened to desserts

Man! I'm so glad we found this place! The food was delicious! My wife and I had the catfish special with candied yams, spinach alfredo with peppered cheese, cornbread, shrimp, macaroni, green beans, cream of crab soup, peach cobbler and sweet potato pound cake. The fish and shrimp were seasoned very well while holding a great crisp to them! The yams were sweet and delightful, as well as, the alfredo and mac blended nicely with the cheese. The green beans were bland, and though very flavorful, the cream of crab was a bit over salted. Both desserts were phenomenal! The lunch rush was real, but well worth it! We will definitely be eating from here again!
