I was very disappointed with my experience at Bramble and Brine recently. I had heard great things about it and good reviews, but it appears that the menu has changed significantly and now includes pizza...now I love pizza, but when I'm planning a special dinner for my birthday, and the menu has none of the food that received rave reviews, it was very disappointing. I had no idea and I drove 45 minutes to eat here, at a spot that I thought was one of the BEST at the beaches...and ended up having a $16 pizza I could have gotten at Dalmata! Don't go in January for a special dinner!!! Shame on you for not providing this information or menu on the website!
We came to Bramble and Brine expecting a menu similar to what is on the Megan Collective website. What we got was something almost entirely different. To be honest, we could not figure out exactly what the culinary concept was. And, like Fable, this restaurant has the $44 priced main courses (how eggplant parmigiana could be priced the same as scallops is beyond me. In any case, we ordered to first courses (Cesar Salad and something called Shrimp-Cargo... where the shrimp was treated the same way as escargot would be). Both were good, but nothing fabulous. Rather than pay a fortune on a main course, we ordered a pizza (crab imperial). It was fine, but nothing fabulous. At the end of the day, we would not return. Yes, it's a lovely space. Yes, the server was really great. But, there are better dining choices to spend a lot of money in LSD.
Awful overpriced food. Limited menu @$65 entrees. A la carte everything. DO NOT waste your money.
Service was great but a few things missed the mark. The cheddar biscuits were undercooked and the butter that came with them was too sweet and not complimentary to the flavor. The oysters Rockefeller were in a brown sauce I didn't care for and oysters were small and hard to remove from shell. The scallops were perfectly cooked so I'm glad we got those. Overall, it's a cute place but the menu was scattered overall, with deep dish pizzas as options but not a ton of large plate dishes as reflected on their website,
Always a special treat, food and service are consistently above most local comparable restaurants.
I came again for Christmas Eve dinner based on last year's visit. It was wonderful. Last year, the menu for the holiday offering was posted online in advance. This year, it was not. I was not prepared for the elevated charges compared to their existing regular menu. If known before, I would have taken a different option.
Quiet evening at Bramble & Brine that did not disappoint with amazing service and a delicious dinner. We started off the Shrimp Gar-got and cheddar biscuits, followed by the chicken Cordon Bleu, and Nonna‘s meatballs and pasta. Everything was super delicious and came out piping hot.
Megan went out of her way to create a special experience for my family despite it being one if the busiest nights of the year!

Walking by on thanksgiving day I smelled something so delicious that I ended up circling back several times and finally giving up and committing to a salad and a glass of wine. I had a great time. The staff were fun, warm and welcoming, and the food was so delicious that I ended up coming back with a group for dinner the next day to taste more things.
If you’re in town, definitely plan a dinner here!

We went to Bramble & Brine on Thanksgiving and had the best meal we have had in a long time. From the moment we walked in we felt at home and loved the vibe. They had a special menu that incorporated one or 2 of the best dishes from each of their restaurant. We had the Atlantic Char with fingerlings,French green beans with a Beurre Blanc that was to die for. The short rib entree was yummy and very generous. I highly recommend the cheddar cheese biscuits too! The service was superb and very friendly to boot! Can't wait to go back.

This is our third Thanksgiving dinner at Bramble & Brine, and we were not disappointed. The service could not be friendlier and on top of things and the food... always delicious.
Just an overall outstanding meal - we were celebrating a special occasion and it was the perfect place for that!
I’m not sure why Bramble and Brine is not listed as THE restaurant in Lewes, DE. The food, service and ambience are spectacular. Highly recommend.

During our vacation in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, we discovered the charming town of Lewes and came across a truly special restaurant: Bramble & Brine at The Buttery. It’s not just a meal here — it’s an experience I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
🏡 Historic Charm & Unique Atmosphere
The restaurant is housed in a historic little building with so much character. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by vintage décor and a nostalgic, carefully curated ambiance. One detail that really stood out to me was the painting of the “Princess of Sicily,” which I had to stop and admire after reading about it in reviews. The whole setting feels both intimate and meaningful — the kind of place where history and hospitality blend seamlessly.
🍽️ Exceptional Food
While the prices are on the higher side, the food makes it absolutely worth it. We ordered a few dishes recommended by the staff, and every one of them was outstanding:
• Crab Cake – hands down one of the best I’ve had in a long time: flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully cooked.
• French-style Oysters – fresh, elegant, and bursting with flavor.
• Lamb – tender, rich, and simply unforgettable.
Each plate showed great attention to detail and a level of craftsmanship that left us impressed.
🤝 Outstanding Service
The service here is just as memorable as the food. The staff took time to patiently walk us through the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and frequently checked in to make sure the dishes suited our taste. Their warmth and attentiveness elevated the entire dining experience.
🌈 Inclusive & Welcoming
Another highlight is the warm and inclusive atmosphere. The restaurant is proudly LGBTQ-friendly, which adds to the sense of openness and comfort. It feels like a space where everyone is welcome to enjoy a fine dining experience.
In short, Bramble & Brine is a gem — historic, beautifully decorated, inclusive, with top-notch service and food that rivals some of the best I’ve ever tried. When I return to Rehoboth Beach, this will be at the top of my list to visit again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely worth the experience!

My friend has a gluten allergy. She asked for gluten free options and our server seemed to not be interested or concerned and said we don't have gluten options. My friend asked if he could check with the chef and our server said we don't do that. So since there was nothing my friend could eat we had to leave.
