Just an overall outstanding meal - we were celebrating a special occasion and it was the perfect place for that!
My friend has a gluten allergy. She asked for gluten free options and our server seemed to not be interested or concerned and said we don't have gluten options. My friend asked if he could check with the chef and our server said we don't do that. So since there was nothing my friend could eat we had to leave.
We were very disappointed in our experience at Bramble and Brine! We used to visit the Buttery which was always a wonderful and elegant experience. The Buttery was our special occasion destination. We were at Bramble and Brine about 2 years ago, the menu was upscale and there were numerous selections making it difficult to make a decision. There were several menus on line but none were the current menu. We were given a paper menu which I do not like. Menus should be laminated or of high quality parchment. Then to top it off, at the top of the dinner menu it said SUPPER! We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We explained our disappointment to our server. Our server was very accommodating and gracious. It was not her fault that management has changed the vibe of the restaurant and menu. We decided to stay and select from the menu. We dine a lot and do not mind spending more for a quality and elegant meal! I realize that in this day and age upscale restaurants are not the norm. Unfortunately Bramble and Brine has lost us as one of their customers. The food was okay but the price was not considering what we ordered. We were looking forward to celebrating our anniversary there and were extremely disappointed. Needless to say we will not be dining at Bramble and Brine any more!
Nice ambiance and wonderful wait staff quiet too. Cheddar biscuits were piping hoy with a honey butter that complemented the savory! Entrees were very warm maybe too much so with delicious and flavorful mashed potatoes and fingerlings. The two entrees we ordered however were a disappointment. The chicken cordon bleu had a minimal amount of ham and guyere cheese and the breast meat was not terribly moist or flavorful. The breading on the chicken was thick and almost offensive for cordon bleu. The other diner had a crab cake which was okay. Both entrees had vegetables but those too were nothing to crow about. At $42 per entree I would have expected more. Not sure id go out of my way to return.
Baked Brie, chicken cordon bleu and scallops au gratin were all tasty. Brie was served without bread or crackers to spread on (but waiter found toast for us). Only 3 scallops! Chocolate dessert was cold, right out of fridge. So experience was fine, but not as we expected.
We've been coming here for years, but were disappointed yesterday. One of the restaurant's best features is the beautiful decor and ambiance, but the space has become dilapidated and feels unkempt: the tops of curtains are coming off the cornices, the bottoms of the curtains are beyond grimy, the gorgeous chandeliers have cobwebs on them, etc. The whole place looked like it could use a deep cleaning and an update. I was pretty tuned off before we even ordered. The food was ok; the service was indifferent. They forgot to bring the biscuits we had ordered. I doubt I'll seek out this place the next time we're in Delaware. But I'd be willing to give it another try if I read that they've had a refresh — it's such a beautiful space and is so well located — it would be a shame if the restaurant never recovered from what appears to be a current slump.
The experience at Bramble & Brine is nice, but nothing exceptional. The food has been consistent, but nothing really inspires and excels. Our server was attentive and helpful. All in all, no complaints, but at this price point, I would hope for some more of a wow factor.
Went for Sunday brunch. Not a huge menu but plenty to pick from. Everyone was very satisfied with their choices. Cocktails were incredible. Not rushed out which is nice.
Excellent food and ambience. Our server Chase was truly amazing, friendly, attentive and solid recommendations... will definitely recommend
Pricey for the value. Dinner was 3 medium sized scallops with mushrooms in the scallop shells with roasted cauliflower for $42. This was an appetizer not a dinner plate. On positive note the cheddar biscuits were very good. Better value places in Lewes.

Food was expensive and not nearly as good as when we dined here last year. We had weekend brunch. Not many breakfast entrees on the menu. The french toast on the menu was not what they were offering. The chicken pieces on the chicken skillet were nearly inedible because they were so burnt and overcooked. Other minor issue with multiple dishes. The drinks were good. Our server Amber worked very hard to try and make it an enjoyable experience.
Very unique and fun place to eat. Fun little salt & pepper shakers on tables, creative and delicious food choices. We went for Fathers day, it was a very lovely experience and would recommend.
Menu is not the same as the website. It was also very bland. Staff was nice, however Service was not great
Great environment for all. Plenty of choices from smash burgers to crab cakes. All with service that cares
The first three times we dined here the food was very good, but the last time was disappointing. We decided to try again last night which was a mistake. The last very good meal I had was Coquille St. Jacques. Although online it's listed on their menu, last night they had scallops au gratin instead. The entree was just 3 scallop shells each with one scallop covered with mushrooms in a sauce which was too salty. I don't think I've ever had just 3 (normal sized) scallops in an entree before but worse yet, at $38, it was almost $13 per scallop! On line the menu also listed steak frites which my wife enjoyed previously but it wasn't on the menu last night. She had a smash burger instead which had no flavor. We mentioned the inconsistency to our waitress who said the chef had changed recently but the new chef had come from Houston White which is their steakhouse restaurant. On a positive note the cocktails were still very good.
