“Our 1st time dining here and it special! The service, food and experience was1st rate! Can't wait for a celebration there with family and friends when we are permanent members of the Lewes community.”
“We stopped here 2 days in a row. Yesterday for coffee and pastry and today for a wonderful lunch on the patio. The pastry and salads were both amazing. The coffee and tea were pretty great too.”
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND ✨✨✨This is our go to place for breakfast, we’re having breakfast here at least once a week! The food is always outstanding and the portions are huge. The servers are attentive and always look after you. 10/10 breakfast and lunch place! ⭐️”
“Excellent service, superb food and an overall amazing experience at the Lewes Oyster House! Executive Chef, Sean Corea, knocks it out of the park! Fantastic cocktails too! If you’re looking for a special evening, or just a night out in downtown Lewes, Lewes Oyster House is the place to go - they don’t disappoint!”
“We had a wonderful dinner here with 5 of our friends and were seated on the porch at a lovely round table which made conversing effortless. My husband had the Parsnip soup which was full bodied and full of flavor, while I chose the Caesar salad with anchovies which is big favorite of mine. Moving on we chose the Lobster Gnocchi and the Mahi entree which was expertly prepared, I can’t comment more on that since my gnocchi arrived and I lost all sense of time. My Lobster Gnocchi was beyond delicious, my mouth is watering just talking about it! Tender melt in your mouth gnocchi with chunks of lobster in a white lobster sauce, I ate it all! My husband brought some of his Mahi home because his soup was so filling. Our companions ordered the Steak Frites, the Crab cake entree, the pork shank, the gnocchi and something else. Again, once my entree arrived, I lost all interest in anyone else’s meals. If you haven’t tried Bramble and Brine at the Buttery, you need to. They are also open for Brunch and lunch! I would rate them a 10⭐️Dietary restrictions: My husband has Celiac and cannot consume gluten in any form. The year and a half that we have been dining there has always been safe for him. Chef will come out and talk to him about what can be gluten free and the servers are amazing professionals, they keep notes on their patrons regarding allergies, etc. That’s why we usually go once a week. They are very good about accommodating most food allergies.”
“Lisa, our waitress, provided great details on the food options we inquired about. She was kind and patient! We ordered oysters for appetizer, the Hake and Swordfish for our entrees and then shared a slice of coconut custard pie. Everything was cooked just right and tasted excellent! The Hake was slightly crispy on the outside with a hint of butter flavor. Perfection! The Pineapple Crush was refreshing with club soda instead of Sprite.Dietary restrictions: If you ask for the special menu, they will happily give it to you for gluten-free and vegan options.”
“A tiny, tastefully appointed eatery tucked away in Lewes. We just stumbled across it for lunch while walking the downtown area. The panini were excellent and the coffee, surprisingly, was one of the best cups I've ever had. Really! I will come back again, if for no other reason than to get another cup of that superbly memorable coffee!”
“First time customer. Bought lump crab and made crabcakes for Easter dinner. So good. Thank you for making my Easter a big hit with my guests. I will definitely be returning!”
“Great food amazing service and good prices. Fast friendly and convenient. I ordered shepherd's pie it good . Had do I get a side of mash to add to it but I could definitely use more vegetables and thicker meat recipe. Overall flavor was good. Just wish you could customize to your own preference. Straight form the kitchen.”
“My husband said it was the best lasagna he's ever had. I had the chicken parmesan and it was the size of the plate. So good!. My other friend said it was the best cheesy bread they've ever had. Very much worth the trip.”
“Jeff our server was awesome!!! He made sure that we always had crabs in front of us for the All You Can Eat Crab special. Even other employees that work here made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. I am definitely coming back here. They deserve more than 5 stars.”
“I saw the reviews on Yelp so my wife and chose to give it a tried. The restaurant is where Full Belly was in the past. The staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Our lunch of a Turkey Sub and BLT were very good. One miss was that it would have been nice to have a glass of wine or a beer.”
“I've been here for the second time. the first time was too long ago. It's really nice inside, a mixture of modern with antique charm. We had a great server, and all the people we interacted with were great. The food is really great, with wonderful spices and flavors. My family and myself definitely left full and satisfied and full. Wish there was room for dessert.”
“Had a wonderful dinner here last night. The restaurant was packed but the service was great and the food delicious! Two of us had the scallops which were amazing and my husband had the lamb shank which he said rivaled ones he'd had in Ireland. The atmosphere was very festive and added to the holiday season. The wines were good but sadly no room for dessert.... We will return!”
“Tremendously good food in a contemporary (and slightly adorably hipster) setting. Really exceptional meal, and we love how the menu changes with the months and local food availability--we'll definitely come back to see what's new. The burrata salad with citrus and dukka was so flavorful it's crazy, and the chicken and mushroom pierogies were just perfect little umami bombs. The potato leek soup was the best I've had--but I will say the portion was a little stingy. I'm not sure why it's such a thing for higher-end restaurants to do right now, serving a quarter cup of soup in a gigantic bowl, but it's definitely a thing and it is annoying. For the price (especially because soups are generally cheap for restaurants to produce), I'd expect more. For our mains, I had crispy skin arctic char and my husband had duck, and everything was outstanding. We especially appreciated the sides--seeing the same mashed/fingerling potatoes/risotto/pilaf on the sides of main dishes everywhere gets so incredibly boring. Heirloom got creative, and I had crispy mushrooms, broccolini, and beets with a lemon-caper-horseradish sauce, and my husband had beet sauerkraut and root veg croquettes. The pavlova was on the too-sweet side, but we were still happy to see it on a menu because it's just not common over here. Only downside overall was the difficulty finding parking, but that's what happens when a small town has a thriving food scene. Just get there early so you can park and walk. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we'll be back.”
