“My daughter took me out for dinner to celebrate my 62nd birthday here at Harbor at Canal Square. We went all out, soup to nuts so to speak, and it was a wonderful dining experience all around. Our waiter who Identified himself as Tom or Tommy was easily one of the best, intuitive and attentive servers I have ever had, and that's saying a lot. The Calimari was as good as we'd ever had, crispy and not too chewey, with just the right seasoning. The mussels were served piping hot with a delicious sweet curry style sauce that made me clean the plate with a spoon and a fresh whole Branzino fish which Tom recommended and explained that it was a Meditarainian sea bass. ? My daughter had the duck breast, whuch was so good she insisted that I tate it, and for dessert we shared the Cherry Tart served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream from Hopkins, a local dairy farm. Tom explained that the desserts were all made in house by one of the owners. We both had tasty mocktails, and I finished up with a glass of tawny port. Although the place was busy, we never felt rushed and the whole vibe was reminiscent of a day's gone by fine dining experience, with a water view, and a more relaxed feeling. I'm not going to say that this was the best dinner I've ever had, but I'd be hard pressed to recall a much better one. When you're anywhere near the Delaware beaches, this place is a must try. ?Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp is available.“
“Excellent service, superb food and an overall amazing experience at the Lewes Oyster House! Executive Chef, Sean Corea, knocks it out of the park! Fantastic cocktails too! If you’re looking for a special evening, or just a night out in downtown Lewes, Lewes Oyster House is the place to go - they don’t disappoint!“
“We had a wonderful dinner here with 5 of our friends and were seated on the porch at a lovely round table which made conversing effortless. My husband had the Parsnip soup which was full bodied and full of flavor, while I chose the Caesar salad with anchovies which is big favorite of mine. Moving on we chose the Lobster Gnocchi and the Mahi entree which was expertly prepared, I can’t comment more on that since my gnocchi arrived and I lost all sense of time. My Lobster Gnocchi was beyond delicious, my mouth is watering just talking about it! Tender melt in your mouth gnocchi with chunks of lobster in a white lobster sauce, I ate it all! My husband brought some of his Mahi home because his soup was so filling. Our companions ordered the Steak Frites, the Crab cake entree, the pork shank, the gnocchi and something else. Again, once my entree arrived, I lost all interest in anyone else’s meals. If you haven’t tried Bramble and Brine at the Buttery, you need to. They are also open for Brunch and lunch! I would rate them a 10⭐️Dietary restrictions: My husband has Celiac and cannot consume gluten in any form. The year and a half that we have been dining there has always been safe for him. Chef will come out and talk to him about what can be gluten free and the servers are amazing professionals, they keep notes on their patrons regarding allergies, etc. That’s why we usually go once a week. They are very good about accommodating most food allergies.“
“Great service - bright, comfortable setting - nice outdoor options too. Service is always very good - the food is great - plenty of choices for breakfast, coffee, specialty drinks & lunch - have returned many times & would recommend if in the Lewes area!“
“Had a wonderful dinner here last night. The restaurant was packed but the service was great and the food delicious! Two of us had the scallops which were amazing and my husband had the lamb shank which he said rivaled ones he'd had in Ireland. The atmosphere was very festive and added to the holiday season. The wines were good but sadly no room for dessert.... We will return!“
“We loved our first trip here. The menu is expansive and loaded with tasty offerings. The food is fantastic. Like really good. The BBQ offerings are outstanding especially the Cajun turkey. Service was excellent as well. We'll definitely be back. Glad we went!“
“Stopped by on a whim for a weekday lunch. Nice selection of sandwiches and we settled on a Philly cheesesteak and a turkey club sandwich (sandwiches come with chips - the up charge for fries was $4). Portions are large and we ended up each taking half a sandwich home (you can split a meal for an extra $3.99). The cheesesteak was pretty good - lots of meat and nice flavor. Added mayo, lettuce, and tomato. The turkey club is not a traditional club - this one had only two slices of bread (not toasted) with turkey piled high, jack cheese, avocado, and arugula. While I don't mind arugula, I did most of it off because the taste was overpowering for the sandwich. Service was excellent and all the staff worked together. We ended up splitting a slice of chocolate mousse cake which was delicious. The menu has many daily specials and we plan to return to try the burgers and wings. Plenty of TVs to watch sports - cool place for casual American food.“
“This is a gem ??. Great service and good food. We had a garden omelette and it was excellent. Fresh vegetables made to perfection. We were in a hurry and they accommodated us so we could eat. We will come back in the Summer ????. You guys are the best!!!“
“Wanted something different came here first time here from the service to the food it's amazing got seated right away my waitress came over right away took my drink order gave me a few minutes to decide what I would like to eat got the roasted turkey mini meal comes with a soup or salad n and extra side it came out real fast it's was so good everything was fresh and hot n right on point will definitely be coming back again“
“Food options weren’t great. There weren’t very many vegetarian or gluten free options (we had members of our group in each category). The food that was served was tasty. If you are coming for local beer more than food this is a great location.Vegetarian options: Very few“
“Vegetarian perspectiveOne of my favorites at the beach. Love all the outdoor seating, and great vegetarian options. I'm not a big fan of fake meats but they have a homemade black bean burger here! Lot of fun summer cocktails too. Plus live music that wasn't so loud you can't talk.“
“The food Here really surprised me the cheese steak and the burger was incredible the service is great for what I would say to be a good price stopped here for long because we were working nearby they had our food done and ready wihlthin 10 “
“I grew up in the Rehoboth, Dewey, Lewes and Millsboro local areas. Graduated from Cape Henlopen class of 2003. Im so happy you folks are still doing your thing. I still go here when i am in town, and forever will. The negative reviews are just "tourons". Thank you all. Much love and respect Lemon Tree. Be back soon!“
“We went senior bowling at $2.00 a game. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon. We hit the bar afterward for Happy Hour and enjoyed the small talk we had with the pleasant bartender. Beers were $2.00 on tap. We ordered a large pizza, and it was a BOGO, so I brought a pie home to enjoy later. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Barmaid had refills up without hesitation, and pizza was fantastic. It's a great place for seniors to enjoy a relaxing afternoon“
“Cozy British-style pub in a historic hotel. We've stopped by for drinks a couple of times, but haven't ordered food yet. I'll write an updated review when we do. They have Guinness and Harp on tap (and will pour a Half & Half) and several other beers, a couple of them local. Pleasant service.“
“Tremendously good food in a contemporary (and slightly adorably hipster) setting. Really exceptional meal, and we love how the menu changes with the months and local food availability--we'll definitely come back to see what's new. The burrata salad with citrus and dukka was so flavorful it's crazy, and the chicken and mushroom pierogies were just perfect little umami bombs. The potato leek soup was the best I've had--but I will say the portion was a little stingy. I'm not sure why it's such a thing for higher-end restaurants to do right now, serving a quarter cup of soup in a gigantic bowl, but it's definitely a thing and it is annoying. For the price (especially because soups are generally cheap for restaurants to produce), I'd expect more. For our mains, I had crispy skin arctic char and my husband had duck, and everything was outstanding. We especially appreciated the sides--seeing the same mashed/fingerling potatoes/risotto/pilaf on the sides of main dishes everywhere gets so incredibly boring. Heirloom got creative, and I had crispy mushrooms, broccolini, and beets with a lemon-caper-horseradish sauce, and my husband had beet sauerkraut and root veg croquettes. The pavlova was on the too-sweet side, but we were still happy to see it on a menu because it's just not common over here. Only downside overall was the difficulty finding parking, but that's what happens when a small town has a thriving food scene. Just get there early so you can park and walk. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we'll be back.“
