“We dined on Friday, 10.31.25 supporting the Cape May Restaurant Weekend. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Red Snapper Alla Plancha that was impeccably simmered in a tomato-saffron cream sauce along with the delectable additions of mussels, rock shrimp, creamer potatoes and confit fennel. I had the wonderful opportunity to sample the Grilled Duroc Pork Chop with aged gouda potato purée, ginger glazed vegetables, sherry wine cream sauce and seasonal mostarda that was done to absolute perfection. I haven't cleaned my plate like that for years! My wife echoed that it was one of the top three dinners that we have ever had as a couple....Our service was second to none from the expediters, bussers and our very warm and personable server, Anna, who just added to the overall dining experience. A five star event for sure!“

“I have used Lucky Bones’s Eric three times in the last five years for catering parties at my home/in my yard. Twice I also booked waitresses with my party. The food is always delicious, the service reliable. We ran out of chicken tenders for the kids once and they brought over a new batch! Everything is set up as ordered and arrives on time. You can’t go wrong with them for your party. My father’s small after-funeral reception was in their back room and my husband and I eat at the restaurant at least once a month. Highly recommend.“

“We celebrated our 53rd anniversary there tonight. They could not have been nicer to us. They treated us to a very special evening. Balloons at the table and complimentary champagne. They also treated us to a dessert of our choice. The food was delicious. I think we found our new favorite restaurant.“

“We had two excellent meals at the magnolia room during our recent stay at the Chalfonte. I hadn’t been in years and was very impressed. The atmosphere still has that southern charm, but it doesn’t feel stale or tired the way it kind of did right before the pandemic. The staff was lovely and laid back, even with our large party and rowdy kiddos. The wine and cocktail list was great. The salty vesper is my new favorite drink in Cape May and the espresso martini was delish! The food blew me away. For breakfast we had the special omelette, the chia pudding and the French toast. All were excellent. The side of sausage was the show stopper! My brother-in-law said it was some of the best sausage he has ever had. For dinner we particularly loved the roasted clams appetizer, the scallops and the fried chicken (still Dot’s recipe from back in the day!) the crab cakes and the chowder were also fantastic. TLDR: make sure to go to the Magnolia Room the next time you are in Cape May! You won’t regret it!“

“Great casual restaurant at the beach. Nice view, good food and friendly efficient servers. Don't forget your wallet, as cash only, but there they do have an ATM.“

“The food is excellent and the dining room and bar are beautifully appointed. We were a group for four plus a toddler. They had a nice high chair for her. Live music kept her entertained. Our server was very attentive, but not overly so, which we like. He could have used a little more training on how to serve things, like pouring the wine. But overall I would give them a 4.5.“

He was so kind, accommodating and truly just a great person. We stopped on our way out to let the manager Erik know how great Nick was.
