“I absolutely recommend Peter Shields Inn for a wedding venue. We had a small wedding on the beach and our wedding dinner was handled by Peter Shields. We worked with Amy (their event coordinator) and she was so helpful in every way. She went above and beyond to make everything so easy for us. I literally handed them a box of our wedding decorations and the tables and everything was set up perfectly! I didn’t have to lift a finger. Their bartender served up our signature drinks with a smile. Our guitarist serenaded guests on the porch while they enjoyed cocktails and wonderful hors doeurves. Dinner was seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Perfection hands down!”

“Recent Trip to Maison Bleue at The Hugh B&B in Cape May did not disappoint! Shout out to Dorothy Birchall Shuman and her support staff for the excellent service. Russ Wheeler and the back of the house killed it! I love French cuisine and was really looking forward to this one for my Birthday ?.

Duck appetizer was a hit. The Humboldt Fog cheese was amazing. Next moving on the the escargot ? over the puff pastry. I have never had it prepared like this before and I don’t think I want it any other way now. So delicious. The baked oysters with leek fondue and caviar were probably my personal favorite. I could probably eat a dozen of them. So creamy and delicious. The steak and scallops with the Cafe de Paris sauce that was “plucked” out of France ?? by the owners was to die for. I could put this sauce on anything. So rich. The apple birthday dessert and the Crème Brûlée were both very good but I would have to say it was the best Crème Brûlée I’ve ever had. So satisfying cracking the sugar shell on top.

Once again highly recommended from the food to the service to the atmosphere. Was sat inside but they also have a nice porch with comfy chairs and couches that looks onto Washington Street and even has overhead heaters for the colder months. The inside dining was extraordinary. The French music mix along with the lighting definitely set the tone for the evening. I felt like I was in Lyon but only 15 minutes away from my doorstep. 10/10 experience, will be back!”

“Yozu is a really great Japanese restaurant. Unlike most other restaurants in the area they stay open beyond 8:00 PM and gladly served me at 8:45 PM. Their salmon teriyaki and Long Island Rolls are great. The prices are reasonable and they offer hibachi. I’ll be back here when I come back to Cape May for vacation in the summertime.”

“Came here with some friends and family on a Monday night for some drinks and appetizers. The atmosphere is great and has a classic cocktail bar feel. We first had the Cosmo from the menu which was just okay, but after I had 2 delicious dirty martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives. A member of my party ordered a regular Cosmo after and was still disappointed. Cointreau is a must for Cosmos, and a place like this shouldn’t be substituting! We also shared the charcuterie board, pigs in a blanket, crab dip, ahi tun, and some oysters. Everything was very tasty! Would visit again.”

The desserts were lovely and generous portions. Not surprised to hear that this is a perennial favorite for many regulars.”

“We love love love Panico's! We use to always go to Sapore but Sapore has gone down hill since new ownership. We love how Panico's doesn't rush you, and you can take your time. The food is also great, I recommend either the 3 cheese chicken or the rigatoni vodka and ask for the chicken breaded! It is also nice that it's a BYOB, so it is inexpensive. If you're looking for good Italian food in Cape May, please go here and AVOID at all costs Andrea Trattoria. 10/10!”

“The food was amazing. My taste buds were thanking me for hours! I tasted the sesame-chili chicken slider, ginger-scallion lobster slider, sweet and sour duck slider, pineapple-chili aioli shrimp slider, and finally the soy-braised short ribs slider. Each slider has such a delicious, unique taste. My favorite was the sweet and sour duck. It tasted like candy, it had a nostalgic taste to it. The coconut rice pudding with mango and the 5-spice donuts were the best desserts I’ve had in a while. Their customer service was excellent. I can’t wait to come back!”

I ate Oax Tail Tajine, Moroccan Specialty: Giant beef Oax Tail simmered for hours in house made j*** sauce, dried apricot topped with crispy onions. I also ate an Avocado Salad: Rich, creamy avocados, vibrant tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, red onions, and a fresh herb dressing. “The owner is a local teacher during the year and a crepe maker in the summer. The crepes are made before your eyes and the fruit is freshly cut. The smoothies and drinks are also delicious. He puts a lot of topping in one crepe. This is our go to for breakfast, brunch or breakfast for linner. Consistently delicious and made by a really nice guy. We are usually first on line Opening Day and make many crepe stops throughout the season. We’ve been in Cape May more than 30 years and recommend CHILL as among the best in Cape May. Not a tourist trap. ; )”

“Second time here. Their bread is always excellent. This time we started with a charcuterie board that had some delicious ham. I had the special pasta - again. 4 cheese tortellini in a cream sauce. Yummy, just as I remembered. They didn’t have the bolognese, so my hubs had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was good. BYOB. As the weather was cooler & it was very breezy that day we decided to eat inside. It’s a small restaurant and if anyone has a loud voice, it carry’s. Outside is nice for people watching.
