Service was exceptional. The food, however, was not up to its normal standards. I'll preface this by saying we visited off-season. My friend and I each had the Eggs Blackstone - way oversalted. Our spouses had the American breakfast. Coffee was not hot and we had to ask for things like butter - even though there was toast at the table.
First time at the Blue Pig. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and overall decor of the restaurant. The large fireplace greatly contributed to the quaintness of the dining room. The food was very reasonably priced with the Blue Plate Special with a nice bottle of white and red win available for $25. My wife had the flounder that was recently added to the menu. My only complaint about this place is the chairs in the inside dining room! They are small, hard, and uncomfortable for a large person to sit on. (They must be historic or something). Anyway, besides that, this place is truly awesome! And they have now removed the hedge around the patio and opened this area up! Beautiful!
