My only complaint about this place is the chairs in the inside dining room! They are small, hard, and uncomfortable for a large person to sit on. (They must be historic or something). Anyway, besides that, this place is truly awesome! And they have now removed the hedge around the patio and opened this area up! Beautiful!

I tried so hard to like this place after hearing about it from other people, and it was hard to get a reservation the first time my husband spent up all night with food poisoning I suspect from the oysters the second time we decided to try it as it may have been an anomaly and I ordered the fish and chips. It was so bad it could have been Microwaved out of a packet in my local grocery store. I’ve had better fish and chips at the bar down the road. Sorry won’t be going there again.

Service was exceptional. The food, however, was not up to its normal standards. I'll preface this by saying we visited off-season. My friend and I each had the Eggs Blackstone - way oversalted. Our spouses had the American breakfast. Coffee was not hot and we had to ask for things like butter - even though there was toast at the table.

First time at the Blue Pig. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and overall decor of the restaurant. The large fireplace greatly contributed to the quaintness of the dining room. The food was very reasonably priced with the Blue Plate Special with a nice bottle of white and red win available for $25. My wife had the flounder that was recently added to the menu. She found the fish to be slightly overcooked and therefore a bit dry. The pork chop that my mother-in-law and I had was perfect. And the portion of all dishes were large. You get great value for the meal. In fact we all took some home.

Was seated in our favorite spot with an excellent server Danica. One suggestion do not serve the french toast on a small plate - my husband felt like he was eating off the kids menu. Otherwise all good.

First time dining at The Blue Pig Tavern. Food and service were excellent! Especially loved the chopped salad, Tomahawk pork chop and chicken pot pie. The service and staff were exceptional - very attentive and personable. Our server Lilia was wonderful, her recommendation for the banana pudding for dessert topped off the evening. Very nice touches in recognition of our anniversary too. Just a little noisy in seating area near the service bar but we had a great experience overall!

We enjoyed our dinner at the Blue Pig Tavern. The food was pretty good and nicely presented. We liked the calamari, the short ribs and the shrimp scampi. At times it was difficult to get the staffs attention, but things worked out in the end.

Wine was over priced. Food was priced right. The blue plate special during the off season is a very good deal. It would be nice if the choices for the special changed once in a while, maybe on a weekly basis. All in all a nice experience.

It was a very busy Sunday but we were seated within 20 minutes. The food and service were very good. It was the best Turkey/BLT sandwich I've eaten. My wife enjoyed the steak Freitas. We look forward to returning. Highly recommend.

The wait and chaos at the hostess station was out of control. We waited almost 30 min past our reservation time even though we saw several empty tables. We ended up leaving and only came back because I got a text that our table was ready before we got to our car. If someone had said we would get a text we would not have waited in a crowd like packed sardines. Once we were seated everything was fine though and the food was good. Lesson learned. Don't go for Sunday brunch.

Totally packed over Presidents' Day weekend. We had 7:15 reservations and didn't take us until 7:30. Table was nice, but the chair was very uncomfortable and it was sooooo dark it was hard to see anything. Service was slow. My octopus was the highlight of the food. My wife didn't care for the lobster bisque. My steak frites was well executed but served cold and the cut was not close to the 10oz they had in menu. My wife's scallops were good. Not the worst meal, but did not come close to matching the price.

This is apparently THE place to be on a late winter Saturday evening. The lobby of the hotel is bribrant and loud and buzzing with excitement. The Brown Room (the bar) was cheek to jowl and as alive as the lobby. We didn't have to wait long to be seated for our reservation. Menu was great, food was even greater. They make an AWESOME cocktail. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. Definitely on our Cape May Rotation.

Blue Pig doesn't miss! The food and service are always great and you can't beat the location, ambience, and vibe. We're regulars and it's going to stay that way.

Excellent dinner got our anniversary weekend. The food was very good, we were seated at our requested table by the fireplace, our server, Lilia, was kind and personable, and they even sent us 2 glasses of champagne.

This is a place that we have been to many times before and posted favorable reviews. This time however our experience was unfortunately very poor mainly due to our server Lily. Booked this for Valentines Day which happens to be our anniversary as well and hoping to have a great experience. Requested a spot close to the fireplace when we booked, weren't seated until a half hour after our reservation time and then bad attitude from the server. All added up to a disappointing experience from a place that we frequent six or seven times a year.
