“Where do I start … at the beginning … Mr softee has always held a special place in my heart since childhood memories recall the days when my friends and I would get so excited to hear music coming from the truck as it made its way down our street … to my visit tonight at the brick and mortar location in CMCH NJ. This location is clean on the inside and has a drive thru.

The other thing I love is that while I enjoy soft serve I also enjoy hard ice cream and this location offers both. Although their hard ice cream flavor offering is limited but covers your basic chocolate strawberry vanilla along with a couple of other flavors.

Tonight we wanted milkshakes and they were delicious!

But what really stood out was the young boy who served me at the drive thru window. His customer service was EXEMPLARY. He was articulate, helpful, patient and sociable. I hope his parents see this review so that they know that they are knocking the parenting thing out of the park!

My only regret is that I didn’t get his name!

We will certainly return and hope that the “boss” gives that boy a generous bonus or raise.

“These are the best things ever!! In the summer you can’t get near the place because it’s so busy. The like is worth the wait! They have mail order and we have ordered three times! The more u order the better the price. This last time we ordered 24! The owner of this store is super nice and treats his employees so good! Def MUST HAVE!!“

“Delicious freshly made custard, just a bit thicker than standard ice cream. Also doesn’t melt quite as quickly, which is nice in Summer. Just the plain chocolate is all I need, though they also have lots of sprinkles and stuff for those who wish.“

“The staff was wonderful! They were incredibly friendly and were quick with my ice cream. The cherry flavor wasn't as sweet as I expected but I shouldn't have expected it to be exactly like other cherry flavors I have had before 😅 would gladly go again“

“After a week long stay in July in Cape May we were basically on the hunt for a new ice cream spot nightly, it's hot & all you do in CM is walk everywhere! Entire Kohr Bros & you bet it hit the spot. Yummy frozen custard & since I'm a sucker for history knowing they've been around for over 100 yrs made me enjoy it all the more!“

“Originally got the ube soft serve and it was amazing, solid 9.5/10. Came back for the matcha soft serve (with coconut flakes added) and it was transcendent. Probably the greatest ice cream i have ever had in my life, and as an avid matcha lover it was glorious. I genuinely do not think anything will ever top it. I think after the first bite i ascended to heaven, high fived god, and only returned so i could eat more of it. The texture? Perfect. The sweetness level? Just right. But most of all, the matcha flavor was strong and high quality- not like other ice creams I’ve had where it tastes like vanilla with a whisper of low-quality green tea.
