“I want to give a special shout out to Kent Miller of the Shorebreak Grille and his staff. We held a Celebration of Life luncheon on their back patio for about 45 people. Kent was wonderful to work with. The menu and table setup was exactly as we had asked. The delicious food kept coming and the staff was delightful. They appreciated the importance of the event and made it special for our entire family. I highly recommend Shorebreak for a special event or simply dining out with family.“

Our first Experience and 2nd we had the pleasure of having “Niki” and truly we could not ask for better service than she offered,her tone,her understanding and the way she treated my toddler is immeasurable and the small details that were paid attention to were not found in other establishments we tried. I hope she knows how valued and appreciated she is by our family! We stopped in for one last meal before heading back to MD and we were cared for. A waitress I don’t re call a name but long curly hair,and a smile that lit up a room and was welcoming,her table side manner was fantastic she joked with us and also treated my daughter remarkably well where again other establishments frowned upon her questions or acted as she wasn’t talking. The waitstaff directed me to the Chef, who was extremely appreciative when I explained the aforementioned to him. Anyone out there visiting the Jersey Shore and wants to have a truly "Unique" dining experience, I strongly recommend ordering the Shrimp Pasta (or any Pasta Course) "The" Olympic Flame Restaurant. “The Water Star Grille is the outdoor restaurant on the bay at the Reeds in stone Harbor. The food is expensive, but that comes with the territory. Our server was very pleasant and the quality of all the food we ordered was great. I was disappointed that you only get 6 oyster half shells for $28.....but I should have asked about quantity before ordering. I am pretty sure that I have never only received 6 oysters when ordering an iced tray of oysters before. The reason to go here for dinner is the view of the sunset over the bay for dinner outside on a beautiful summer day.“

Asked the lady behind the counter if it was sharp provolone and she said it was but once I tried it, it was not sharp at all. Ok no big deal but took a star from the service.
The pork is good but slightly over chopped, The broccoli rabbe was just balanced but not sauteed.

Since many of the local steakhouses were closed, we decided to give Sax a try — and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. Our server, Patrick, was absolutely outstanding. He was attentive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and even made something as simple as choosing a steak knife a fun and memorable experience. He explained where the knives came from, what they were made of, and offered his favorite — such a unique touch! The food was just as impressive. I went with a mix of apps and a salad — the shrimp cocktail (huge shrimp!), perfectly seared local scallops (I was expecting three and got closer to eight!), and the truffle cheese burrata salad, which was loaded with heirloom tomatoes, arugula, basil, balsamic reduction, sea salt, and basil oil. Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband had the New York Strip with truffle fries and grilled asparagus — a perfectly cooked, hearty steak that left him very satisfied. We left completely full and so happy with our experience. Sax exceeded our expectations in every way, and we’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend for both locals and visitors looking for a special dinner spot!“
