SAX Seafood and Steaks Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We’re locals and chose Sax at the Reeds to celebrate our anniversary on a Tuesday night in September. Since many of the local steakhouses were closed, we decided to give Sax a try — and we’re so glad we did!
From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. Our server, Patrick, was absolutely outstanding. He was attentive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and even made something as simple as...read full review
Arrived last night 11/6/24 and checked in. Room was supposed to be a street view with a balcony and there was no balcony. I immediately went back to the desk and asked why we didn’t have a balcony and I was told I should have booked over the phone instead of on line. SAX Seafood and Steaks offers a delicious dining experience with an elegant, intimate, and sexy ambiance. The restaurant, located at The Reeds at Shelter Haven, is wonderful for dinner, breakfast, or brunch. The food is delicious, with standout dishes including the tuna tartare, crispy calamari, and the steak and lobster, which is highly recommended with truffle sauce. The scallops and shrimp pasta is described as one of the best ever, and the halibut entree is also delicious. For brunch, the French toast is a must. Desserts like the apple dessert and apple pie are delicious. The service is outstanding, fantastic, friendly, professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, though it can seem short-staffed during holidays. The drinks, including the White Pearl and Apple Butter Bourbon, are terrific. The wine list is thoughtful. Some minor drawbacks include entrees occasionally being overcooked and the dining room sometimes being very hot. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit and a return.
