“First time here and enjoyed it very much. My server was very attentive and friendly. The food was good. I especially liked the lobster bisque soup. Definitely worth the try over all.

6-7-26 Update-3 years later(didn't go last year.) This place still is great. Staff are attentive and the meal was great. Crab Balls where very well fried and had planty of crab in the mixture. Turkey Avocado sandwich was balance and not to heavy. The What a Peach drink was fine, def get that hit of peach in it. Also, this day.they just happen to have a band their playing. So i got a bit of extra entertainment this time“

“Nice open space to spend time with family and friends. Casual. Inside and outside seating. Drinks are a little pricey (but it's Avalon) and there is a 2hr parking limit (street meters). We had finger food and drinks and had a great time sitting at the humongous and beautiful bar.“

I would say this hotel is not one you stay in if you’re there for a whole week and expect to live in your room but for us it was everything we needed at a fantastic price. The room was clean, comfortable, updated and all around great. The staff, let me tell You how wonderful they are, we needed to check in later they said “okay we got it” no issues, our room was cleaned and refreshed within an hour of us being out the door and back from the store. We asked for a later check out and they had no issue giving us an extra hour. They were beyond accommodating when we needed assistance the day we checked out and even offered to let us use the accommodations they provide for guests. We will be coming back and staying here again.“

“Joe's Fish Co. is an old vacation favorite of ours. The outdoor seating is comfortable and the service is always prompt and friendly. They're located at the edge of the amusement pier so it can be a little loud at times but it's fun watching kids (and adults) enjoy the rides while you're dining.
On our most recent visit during our June vacation we started with Joe's crab dip. The crab dip or the giant pretzel are our reliable favorite appetizers here and this time the dish was the same as always. It's mellow and crabby and goes well with the chips and bread it's served with.
I ordered the Korean shrimp slider appetizer. The shrimp, the sauce and the slaw were very good. I do wish they had toasted the buns they were served on. They were stone cold and tasted like they'd just been pulled out of a bread bag.
My husband had the shrimp skewer appetizer and thought it was excellent.
The combination of those three appetizers was plenty of food for our dinner.
Joe's is so close to being a fine restaurant that I always wish they'd spice up the menu and pay attention to little things like the bread on the sliders and make it to being as excellent as I think they could be.“

“The Water Star Grille is the outdoor restaurant on the bay at the Reeds in stone Harbor. The food is expensive, but that comes with the territory. Our server was very pleasant and the quality of all the food we ordered was great. I was disappointed that you only get 6 oyster half shells for $28.....but I should have asked about quantity before ordering. I am pretty sure that I have never only received 6 oysters when ordering an iced tray of oysters before. The reason to go here for dinner is the view of the sunset over the bay for dinner outside on a beautiful summer day.“

Since many of the local steakhouses were closed, we decided to give Sax a try — and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. Our server, Patrick, was absolutely outstanding. He was attentive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and even made something as simple as choosing a steak knife a fun and memorable experience. He explained where the knives came from, what they were made of, and offered his favorite — such a unique touch! The food was just as impressive. I went with a mix of apps and a salad — the shrimp cocktail (huge shrimp!), perfectly seared local scallops (I was expecting three and got closer to eight!), and the truffle cheese burrata salad, which was loaded with heirloom tomatoes, arugula, basil, balsamic reduction, sea salt, and basil oil. Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband had the New York Strip with truffle fries and grilled asparagus — a perfectly cooked, hearty steak that left him very satisfied. We left completely full and so happy with our experience. Sax exceeded our expectations in every way, and we’ll definitely be back soon. “Good food and great atmosphere“

“The North End is my go to restaurant on and off island. Great place to bring the little ones as well. The food is great and reasonably priced. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Live entertainment unlike some of the nearby places isn't so loud that you can't have a conversation or hear yourself think. The bartenders are also very friendly and go out of their way to make sure my wife gets the best chocolate martinis anywhere.“

“Went Saturdsy night for the rib special. I had been there years ago and was not impressed with the food. The ambiance is good, the service terrific, the drinks well made & a great happy hour. Our rib dinner came with a choice of salad or soup. I chose the salad which was fresh and plentiful. My wife chose clam chowder. She loved it. So i tried hers. It was great. Also dinner came with a fresh loaf of bread with butter and dipping oil. The ribs were very good and full rack along with a baked potatoe and asparagras. We will be back again“
