“The pickle pizza was a table favorite!! Fresh - tasty - cooked perfectly!! Burger was fresh and cooked to order. The fries were overcooked and cold ... the waiter was friendly but could have been more attentive.... We came on St. Patrick's Day weekend and Irish music filled the place - it was a little loud and we couldn't really hear each other. However - overall a very positive experience and we will be back!“
“Our first time here tonight and it won't be our last! We were welcomed warmly and immediately felt at home. Our server, Kimmy was an absolute pleasure! It was Wine Down Wednesday with $4.00 glasses of their house wines. I'm so picky but Kimmy told me if I didn't like it, she would get me something else. I liked it! Kevin got their pulled pork which he loved! Definitely getting that next time! Although, my Thai Chicken Flatbread was amazing!!! We had a great time! A new favorite for us!“
“Delicious food from burgers to more elaborate dishes. We had the crab-topped salmon special ($36) and grilled salmon ($28), it was excellent. The special was enough of a portion for 2 people. The drinks were nicely prepared with a beach-like presentation - about $12/each. “Absolutely love this place! My boyfriend and I love to stop here on our Wildwood vacays! It has now become one of our favorite spots. The food is always great, the service is even better! There’s always great music playing, and drinks are always perfect and strong! Wish I could remember her name, but the blonde woman sitting and chatting with us at the bar was so good and kind to us when we celebrated our 4 year anniversary at Cattle ’n Clover last weekend! “The fishing club has live entertainment. I am a musician and play their often. The fishing club is a pretty spacious place. There is plenty of dining area and their kitchen is really good. Very reasonably priced. Plenty of parking and open year round. Handicapped accessible.“

And although it's free, you should definitely buy some beers/drinks to support the venue and the band...or let me put it this way: when was the last time a band passed the hat and you gave them $30 for you and a friend? I'd be happy to sip and listen to this band every week. Other than the beach, this is the best thing in Cape May. Actually, that's a lie: better than the beach.The building is a beautiful testament to the past; bar itself is dimly lit (not dark) and cozy, bartenders were really friendly, and it's a very nice place to chill with friends. “This cocktail bar is BEAUTIFUL. The setting is stunning, the service is attentive and everyone who works there is knowledgable and professional. I got the seasonal Blood Orange Martini, which was good! It was a bit sweet for me to get more than one, so I got a Grey Goose Gibson & it was GREAT! Love when a cocktail bar knows how to make a good Gibson. My husband got the Bees Knees, which was a very balanced cocktail. I even liked it and I don't like gin. He also ordered the Manhattan which he said was phenomenal. We didn't order any small plates, but everything looked amazing. It was a bit pricey, but it is worth a cocktail or two before or after dinner.“

This place holds such a special place in my heart, it is where I go to celebrate any special occasion and even just a place that feels like home. The service is always great, the staff are kind and accommodating. The food is delicious, always comes out hot and is noteworthy every time. Especially the vegan options, I've been vegan for almost 10 years and the Mad Batter is still one of my favorite restaurants to get a very well done vegan meal. We had seafood chowder, fish tacos (big chunks of delicious fish!), spinach & artichoke dip with homemade chips and the best burger we have had in a long time. Our server, Layla, was professional, knowledgeable, personable and prompt. We wished we had found them before our last night in Cape May.
