Had heard alot about this resturant and we decided to drive up to Lewis from Femwick. I had the artic char with lentils. The fish was over cooked lacked any moisture in it. The lentils we very good. But overall everything was to heavily salted. Caulking it up to a bad night.

Tremendously good food in a contemporary (and slightly adorably hipster) setting. Really exceptional meal, and we love how the menu changes with the months and local food availability--we'll definitely come back to see what's new. The burrata salad with citrus and dukka was so flavorful it's crazy, and the chicken and mushroom pierogies were just perfect little umami bombs. The potato leek soup was the best I've had--but I will say the portion was a little stingy. I'm not sure why it's such a thing for higher-end restaurants to do right now, serving a quarter cup of soup in a gigantic bowl, but it's definitely a thing and it is annoying. For the price (especially because soups are generally cheap for restaurants to produce), I'd expect more.For our mains, I had crispy skin arctic char and my husband had duck, and everything was outstanding. We especially appreciated the sides--seeing the same mashed/fingerling potatoes/risotto/pilaf on the sides of main dishes everywhere gets so incredibly boring. Heirloom got creative, and I had crispy mushrooms, broccolini, and beets with a lemon-caper-horseradish sauce, and my husband had beet sauerkraut and root veg croquettes.The pavlova was on the too-sweet side, but we were still happy to see it on a menu because it's just not common over here. Only downside overall was the difficulty finding parking, but that's what happens when a small town has a thriving food scene. Just get there early so you can park and walk. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we'll be back.

I hate mushrooms. I loved their Kennet Square mushroom side. That is about all you need to know. Had the goat cheese cheese board. 4 great cheeses and accompaniments. High recommend. You tell the quality of a restaurant by the quality of its octopus. Actually had the app as my main dish. Tender, even the plump parts. Great char. Ambiance is wonder. Staff was great.

I love Heirloom! Their farm to table menu is very unique. Not your regular steak and fish restaurant. Staff from host to waiter are very friendly. It will most likely be our go to restaurant. You do need to make reservations though.

We love Heirloom. The only negative is that we don't live close enough to visit it as much as we would like. Each time we go, we say that it's the best restaurant in Delaware. From start to finish, it's a wonderful dining experience. Each entree is delicious and the service is always attentive and professional. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Our experience and meal were excellent last night (2/15/24) at Heirloom. We sat at the bar and Andrea took great care of us. We started with the chicken & mushroom pierogi's which were delicious. Then I had the Artic Char entree and my husband had the filet. Both entrees were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. For dessert we had the pavlova that Andrea recommended. It was delicious and the perfect way to end a perfect meal. Dining at Heirloom is always special and it's our favorite restaurant. Thank you to Meghan and her fabulous team!!

What a fantastic dinner celebrating Valentines Day! Hard choosing from so many great options on the menu. The citrus/buratta, Arctic Char, and Pistachio Creme Brulee were delicious! ?

My wife started with a glass of a nice domestic red wine and I stayed with the ice water. We both got the Cacio e Pepe, a delicious pasta dish. My wife finished with the Flourless Chocolate Torte, which I had a taste of and it was excellent. Our server took good care of us and we enjoyed celebrating Valentines Day at our favorite restaurant at the Delaware shore.

Good to have Heirloom open after the winter break. It seems that we weren't the only one's happy to see everyone back. The place was jumping. New menu. New energy. We'll be back soon.

Pretty restaurant and Excellent Service and Staff! Appetizers were delicious as well as desserts. Of the 4 people, 2 loved their entrees and two did not. We also felt the entrees were overpriced for the quality. Our entrees averaged $42 on up. If we go again we will order several appetizer's which we felt were more desirable than the choices of entrees. If you or anyone in your party have physical challenges - the restaurant is not handicap accessible.

The Cacio e Pepi homemade pasta was outstanding! We shared that and the filet mignon and it was the most delicious combo! Always a wonderful dinner and enjoyable evening out when we are in town!

One of the best meals I have had in a long time! Wonderful atmosphere, quaint old house that has been converted into a restaurant. It has a very cozy feel. The menu is well thought out and well executed, everything we had was fantastic. The service flowed smoothly, we never felt like we needed anything. I was very satisfied with this meal and visit overall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in Heirloom last night. The duck and filet of beef tender and delicious. Our appetizers the potato/leek soup was excellent and the octopus the best I have ever had. Angel our waiter was professionally attentive while being friendly but not intrusive. This is an outstanding restaurant and we will be back.

Terribly disappointed. For an early Wednesdsy evening, all entrees served were less than hot. No one at the table could rave about any portion of their meal. No James Beard rating in my opinion. We so wanted to enjoy, but we did not

One of the most delightful evenings out in ages. The new menu has something for everyone. Each course was a taste sensation complimented by great service and a quiet setting. Cocktails were creative and a wonderful wine selection. All three of us are still talking about the wonderful dining experience we had celebrating my spouses birthday.
