I hadn’t been to Lewes, DE since 1991-1992, so while exploring and seeing what has changed. I happened upon Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, which I learned opened in 1996. I never pass an opportunity for a pint or the traditional Irish meals an Irish pub offers. I was a bit concerned I might have to wait because the parking lot and streets were full. Overall my husband and I did enjoy our dinning experience here. The service and atmosphere were very good. The food was just okay. I had the italian ciabatta. It was good but it was kind of dry. I think some italian dressing would of added to the flavor and maybe not toast the bread so much. My husband had the Kelly's Ketch again it was good but could of been better. We were unsure what it would be like since it was hot and we had a 45 minute wait to eat inside. We opted to eat outside in the screened-in dining area instead and we were pleasantly surprised with the breeze in the area. The fish and chips as well as as the fried portabella mushrooms were a highlight.
