Located on the quaint Main Street of Lewes, this shop is worth a stop after touring the downtown area. We visited on a quiet rainy Monday afternoon. The staff was helpful and were not annoyed by our numerous questions. So many choices!! The interior of the shop is retro and the ambience warm. The ice-cream was good and the old time soda pop shop feel made the experience even better.

Nice attentive summer staff. Not too pricey.When the restaurants start letting out it can be a good long wait.The water ice can be addictive.

Checked online hours for this ice cream place and it said 9pm on a Saturday night. Drove 20 minutes and they were closing and it was a little after 8.(Lewes location) Closed sign was facing out. Chairs being put on table. Clearly closing. No other customers in sight, inside or outside (owner states in reply that they were busy and open until 10).

I was completely appalled and grossed out by the teenage server playing in her hair over and over again right before, without washing her hands or putting on gloves, using said hands to handle cups, cones, spoons and ice cream. Please train your workers to handle the food (and not their hair, face or any part of their person) in a sanitary way.

Ok Ice Cream. Was told it was great but the scoops were small, and found ice crystals in my icecream. The real kicker is the cashier reminding everyone that they can leave a tip.

Watched as an employee displayed a great deal of patience and kindness with a group of customers who obviously were very limited in their understanding of English. The ice-cream was very good also.?

one of our fam’s funnest traditions when we summer in town is the daily pilgrimage to this old time creamery. clearly the coolest gig for summering high schoolers—don’t forget to tip for the college fund! speaking of tips, here’s a pro-tip. the door isn’t locked — just tricky and sticky.

Great little place in Lewes. Ice cream is homemade and is very good. Recommend the Mint Chip and Butter Pecan ice cream.

We come here often and generally have good a experience. Tonight was different when we discovered a locked door at 10:24pm with employees and people inside. This was confusing as the hours of the shop were painted on the door “11am-11pm.” We knocked on the window of the front door and the gaggle of teens behind the counter ‘working’ turned around to look at us square in eye, and then immediately directed their gaze back to their phones. We knocked again— at this point just curious as to what the store hours were so we could plan ahead for tomorrow. Same response—Or lack there of. We tried one more knock. Finally, one employee comes around the counter to open the door and graciously let us patron their business. She mentions they closed early tonight due to lack of customers. We found that interesting because a group of 6 people came in right after us and it is typically is busy around this time period in the summer. We quickly order, pay, and walk to leave as the employees’ boyfriends who were sitting at a table boo us out the door. The minute we get outside—- the scoop of ice cream falls off the cone. Tragic.
