After reading some not so good reviews we were a bit unsure about getting seafood from here. We ended up buying crabcakes for dinner and mahi mahi for tomorrow night. We just finished the crabcakes for dinner. My husband and I were both impressed with the quality. They were fresh, full of crab and nicely seasoned. Great choice. Can't wait to have the mahi tomorrow night. We will be back!

Just bought 1/2 bushel of steamed crabs. They were cold and a third of them were mushy. Ruined a family get together.

Horrible blue crabs they claimed to have cooked fresh. The meat had a mushy consistency and my daughter is extremely nauseous after eating a small amount of meat. Called the merchant who didn't even answer the phone; its lunchtime. I left a message demanding a refund.

Purchased a dozen live crabs. Drove home about 6 minutes away to steam them. Five were dead. FIVE. Won't be going here again.

Wow this place has so changed . Hollie Mollie not for the good. I hadn't eaten here in many years and was psyched for a fish sandwich and fries. I should have read yelp reviews before going. I ordered a flounder sandwich which comes with 2 sides to go . I want French fries and coleslaw. The lady says, " we're OUT of fries and we're OUT of coleslaw." .So I than decide I'll just have pasta salad and potato salad . She says we're ,"OUT of pasta salad ". So I wind up with side of mixed vegetables and potato salad . I watched the lady open a frozen bag of mixed vegetables from Weis market and the potato salad was straight up Sysco. The lady tells me they know longer make pasta salad or potato salad from scratch. I ask the lady did she put tartar sauce in my bag and guess what she says, " we're OUT of tartar sauce". Is this place really open for business? I guess they are OUT of plastic silverware and OUT of napkins too since they were absent from my PLASTIC bag. They don't even care I'm going to have eat with my fingers ! Delaware plastic bags were banned July 1, 2022 for carry out. My food was in Styrofoam and Delaware senate passed a law on June 20,2022 no styrofoam containers. The flounder sandwich was not like it used to be . See pic Disappointing

When ordering two pounds of steamed shrimp, is there an expectation to get at least one tiny container of cocktail sauce? Well you’re not getting any at this place. NOT included. Two pounds of large streamed shrimp was $25 but no cocktails sauce included. Kinda ridiculous in my book. Time to move on to another seafood house.
Extremely friendly and helpful. We picked up two lobsters and drove back to Washington DC. Lewes Fishhouse, packed the lobsters with ice and in containers as we did not bring a cooler. Great place!!

YiIKES.... I have removed this one from the "bucket list" Can't chance a visit after I have been warned. I never can understand why they don't even try to defend themselves after getting a lousy review. That tells me something about their attention to running a competitive seasonal business. Sorry guys your doomed to fail...

So many bad reviews , believe every one. I bought 2 lobster tails for $85. Thawed and cooked them then threw them in the trash. I have cook tails many times and these tasted like swimming pool water.

Been coming here off and on for 12 years. Always a hit and miss proposition so visits have been infrequent but just as quickly as a negative review I am also prone to offer a positive review when one has been earned. Possibly the best crabs we’ve had in a very long time on our last visit. Large heavy and tasty. The clams however were old but they all opened but were tiny dry and overpriced.

I was a regular at the Rehoboth branch of Lewes Fishhouse until it closed its doors last year. It was a great seafood market that was walking distance from my house. Although Big Fish Market is even closer, I will without hesitation drive the 5 miles up the highway to get my fresh seafood at Lewes Fishhouse! The selection is great, and includes locally caught seafood when it’s in season. They carry sushi-grade salmon and tuna, among others, so you know it’s fresh. I recently stocked up for my Christmas Eve feast of seven fishes, and Lewes Fishhouse had everything I needed. Needless to say, the feast was a triumph! Be aware that although this is listed on TripAdvisor as a restaurant, it’s generally a seafood retailer that does have some prepared food. Do not expect to dine here or get a full meal. That said, many of the local seafood restaurants get their products here, so that should tell you something!
