Excellent service, superb food and an overall amazing experience at the Lewes Oyster House! Executive Chef, Sean Corea, knocks it out of the park! Fantastic cocktails too! If you’re looking for a special evening, or just a night out in downtown Lewes, Lewes Oyster House is the place to go - they don’t disappoint!

We were embraced with such friendliness by all the staff we encountered. Diego was so knowledgeable and on point with all his recommendations from starters, choice of oysters, the wine, not to forget the entrees and the Belgian Chocolate martini! Sean the “Cuisine Chef” was outstanding with the French toast Icecream and brûlée dessert. To say exceptional food and service is an under statement, it was such an enjoyable, delicious, unforgettable and delightful dining experience. Thank you, can’t wait to come again!

Our first time eating at Lewes Oyster House and we will come back many times. Limited menu which makes food choices easier I feel. Fairly priced as well. Service was excellent and unobtrusive. Very crowded so reservations are a must.

We are frequent diners at the Lewes Oyster House and each meal has been great. I always choose oysters as a first course but try something new for a main and have not been dissapointed yet. From Chef Sean Correa to the bus staff, everyone is always pleasant and knowledgeable and the ambiance is fantastic. Keep up the good work!

Our reservation was for 7pm - we arrived on time and were not seated until after 7:30pm. At no time did a manager say I'm sorry, here let me get you a drink or possibly send an appetizer to our table- we were just expected to understand - where is the hospitality? As a local I was excited to take my friends there for dinner and while the food was good, I was disappointed in the wait.

One of our favorite restaurants! From the outside it looks like just a neighborhood joint, but the food far exceeds any expectations you have. Very imaginative menu and everything is delicious. Do not skip dessert!

Great meal as usual, and our server was fantastic. He was able to explain everything and we had two friends with us who have never done here before and said they can't wait to come back. The appetizer was great. It was tuna tartar surrounded by apple slices! Two of us had the poached halibut which was extremely well done with spinach , and artichokes. One of our party had the scallops with brussels, parsnips, mushrooms and the burger is always a hit. Drinks were all spectacular.

Overall, we had a Great experience Services was outstanding. We enjoyed the drinks from the bar, T.I.N.I painkiller and the Manhattan both were very refreshing. The Swordfish was cooked perfectly. The sauce and vegetables had a wonderful taste. My Wife ordered the Scallops, they were cooked just right, and the grilled vegetables were outstanding. We would recommend The Lewes Oyster house to our family and friends. We will be returning.

Fun and unique perspectives on liquors. Great selection all around. Our service was over the top. Happy hour prices (before 5pm) are really good. Prices get 'normal' for the touristic town, but fair for the quality, uniqueness, ambiance, and location.

Reservation was easy to make. Restaurant was larger than expected. Menu is expansive. Lemon Drop Martini & special Margarita cocktails were excellent. Crab soup was excellent. 1/2 dozen mixed oysters were excellent. Buffalo Soldiers Oysters were very good. Mussels & fries were good but sauce had little taste. Hamburger was excellent. Hanger Steak was ordered medium but arrived medium rare. Recooked steak was good but vegetables were extremely over cooked, mushy and gray. Wine was over priced and was not kept cold. Service was very good with a very knowledgeable waiter. Overall the experience was good. Another visit will take place but not for a while. Cost for two was $220 with tip.

Visited Lewes from Cape May, NJ and after researching local restaurants chose Lewes Oyster House based on outstanding reviews. And this place did not disappoint. We sat at the bar while waiting for our reservation (arrived early and ended up being seated quickly) Sangria and Dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives-out of this world! Tim was our server and very efficient. 10/10 would recommend and even considered cancelling next evening's reservation to come back here again. We will definitely be back next time we're in Lewes.

Wednesday pasta specials were dee-lish! An we started with Oysters Rockerfeller and calamari -- both really wonderful. Had trouble choosing between the desserts, so the 4 of us shares 3! Each was terrific. Lewes Oyster House consistently pleases with excellent food -- enough out of the ordinary to be enticing yet familiar enough to be comfortable -- a great, happy vibe and wonderful service. Can't wait to go back.

We started out with a drink each at the bar. Had the best old fashioned I have ever had! Our server Diego was very knowledgeable and made several great recommendations for oysters and wine. Great personality! The food was pretty good. I and the halibut and my bf had the scallops. I thought the scallop was underseasoned but it had some great flavor! Overall I would come back but perhaps just for cocktails and oysters.
