Lewes Bake Shoppe & Notting Hill Coffee Roastery

This was my first time in this area and I wanted to grab some pastries. This was the first bakery that we passed when walking. It seemed very nice and interesting decor. The amount of coffee options were amazing. I got the pumpkin coffee cake and sticky bun with nuts. Although these were good, the customer service is HORRIBLE. Very rude. The younger lady with the ponytail and brown hair was nice but the older lady with the short cut blonde hair was super rude, very blunt and not friendly in the slightest. If I had not waited in line I would've walked out and went somewhere else. The food isn't worth the big side of attitude at all. Very disappointing considering this was my first visit. They also yelled at the customers for keeping the door open which was unavoidable considering the small space and line. Take your time and find a different bakery. I rather pay twice the price somewhere else for a better service than here, which I ended up doing after this visit.

Worst, burnt, most expensive coffee I've ever had. No prices listed, no size choices. No half and half. Rude older lady took our order like she was doing us a favor.

This place is super cute, but the coffee is not good. I should've known from walking in, because they advertise all the ways they can make a latte basically a dessert. I got a double espresso on ice. It filled a 12oz cup and tasted horrible. We also got beans to go and they were not good either. Their sticky bun was great though

Unfortunately, I have been here a few times over the years and had the worst lattes that I can remember drinking. The espresso tastes burnt and I threw some of the one I bought today away. The shop is cute, smells good, and there are a variety of coffee flavors, and owner seems nice. However, the teenagers working can be rude.

The staff appeared annoyed when you were ordering food, flies in the baked goods display case, espresso tasted burnt, and the eggs were perfectly round and tasted like they were from a carton.

I was visiting family and love to find local coffee shops. Came across this one and two days in a row had terrible customer service. If you want okay coffee with a side of attitude this is your place. The first day I asked the girl for a suggestion on her favorite and she said she didn’t have one… helpful. The second day she called out almond caramel and I was the only one waiting and I asked if that is what she made as I am allergic to almond milk. The response the girl gave was rude and sassy and claimed it was what I ordered (in fact not). Then proceeded to roll her eyes and make fun of my question to the other girl working right in front of me. Sorry a life threatening allergy inconvenienced the workers. The next person waiting also made a comment to me that she felt the employee was rude about the situation and no need for her attitude. I would not recommend.

Awesome little coffee shop!
Great coffee, but the cashier needs a little training in customer service. She was annoyed by simple questions.
