What was good: the Guinness on tap, the berry salad w/ blue cheese, and the pork chop special (husband said best he’d ever had.) Nice atmosphere too. What was not: fish and chips was really terrible; not fresh and barely warm. Would have sent it back if we hadn’t already been waiting so long and at that point I just wanted to leave. The service (at the bar) was slow, inattentive and borderline rude. Might have awarded another star were it not for the inedible entree and truly bad service.

I hosted a dinner for 19 people in their private room, and it could not have been better. The service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. I received a number of compliments about the food and how well they handled serving so many people. They have a parking lot next to the building, but you do have to pay for parking, and it is monitored. They have an elevator to their lower level.

We got three burgers, shrimp scampi and crab dip as an appetizer. The food was pretty good but the rating of 2 reflects the overall experience.
On a Friday night the parking was bad, we parked 6 blocks away. We were seated immediately as we had reservations but it then took 10 minutes before we got any menus. Another 10 minutes after that he comes to take our food order and he was about to leave when we reminded him that he still hadn’t taken our drink order.
The drinks take forever to come out and one of them is incorrect. A half hour later our main meals come out with no appetizer. Three of the four meals they got wrong and one meal had so few fries you could count them with only your fingers. It took so long to get the food that we ate what were given and didn’t return anything as we didn’t want to wait even longer. Then halfway through our meal the appetizer comes out, the crab dip was good but they gave us two different chips and one kind was stale.
Maybe the server or the staff was having a bad day, would be open to trying again since the food was actually not bad but our experience on this night was not good

It's an okay place. Prices are reasonable. A filet is $30. Expect plastic disposable cups (sigh) and mediocre service. Food was good, not great, but not terrible. I had to flag down the server for a drink refill. We had a reservation but it seemed like they weren't really prepared for us and we had to sit right by the door in the bar area even though I explained we were coming for a double birthday celebration and it was our first time eating there. We are locals, but likely won't go back. I wasn't impressed and there's so many other restaurants nearby.
Parking: It's not even the busy season and we had to park a few blocks away. Typical for the area, but just be aware there is no lot or designated spots for customers.

Absolutely wonderful experience at the Rose & Crown! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. But the highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the incredible bartender, Ellie. She crafted some of the best cocktails we've ever had and her warm, friendly personality made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a place with great drinks and even better service, look no further than the Rose & Crown. Can’t wait to return!

All around awesome! Sat at the bar this weekend with Ellie and felt like i made a new best friend! Great atmosphere great service great food
The only thing worse than the service was the food. Inattentive staff (in an empty restaurant), and Shepherds Pie which was as bland as cardboard. The Caesar salad was served at room temperature and with a dressing that was even more bored than I was. Cross this place off the list.

Completely average food with below average service. We were recommended to visit Rose & Crown and ended up hugely disappointed. Our experience started with drinks and a Dirty Martini that was straight up olive juice. The Cheesesteak Egg Rolls we ordered as an appetizer were so over fried that they were inedible. The Fish and Chips was ok (not nearly as good as others have stated) and the Korean BBQ Wings were undercooked and coated with a ketchup-based sauce. Our waiter was inept and sometimes rude, and he just kind of fumbled his way through the dining room. Sorry, but first impressions are everything; we won't return.
