The Rose & Crown Pub in Lewes is fantastic—great atmosphere, good food, and super friendly staff. So glad this spot is open. Fish and chips with a pint of Guinness… Perfect!
Went there just for Cocktails on girls weekend but we ended up having the Mussels and Fish & Chips. Outstanding food and drinks! Also very friendly waitresses that were top notch no waiting for your meal! We met the owner Chris and her family they made us feel like one of the family, we had the best experience there . I highly recommend this British Pub!! We will be back !!
Reminds me of a pub in London. Such a nice atmosphere. The waitress Violet was absolutely lovely. Food was delicious. We had the burger, the quiche and the flatbread. Everyone left full and happy.

We came in to order a quick reuben and a crabcake sandwich to go on a Saturday afternoon. Took them down the street and enjoyed the food on a bench. It was hands down the best reuben we had in years. Also the best crab cake sandwich!
We came back the next day, drove 30 min to get there and decided to dine in with the whole family. We were seated by Ashley who was an exemplary server with warmth and charm. We ordered fish and chips which was better than anywhere we have ordered it. My son bragged about his tenders and my daughter loved her burger with bacon on the side. My husband of course ordered the reuben again, but this time he asked for two Manhattan Cocktails to go along with our meals. Over all we loved our server and our food. Looking forward to coming back!!

The bartender was the only waitress in the building. The food was okay. The tables smell like some bleach cleanser that immediately made you question the restaurant as a whole. The fountain drinks aren’t very carbonated so it’s like drinking flat soda. The bartender was great but obviously overworked.

Although this Restaurant/bar is connected to the hotel it is open to the public. Children friendly and large group friendly. Violet was our bartender and waitress. She was super attentive with our table. We ordered the portobello burger, salmon BLT and Ruben and all 3 were delicious. Would recommend for anyone passing through downtown Lewes!

The atmosphere Is very English Pub. It’s a popular spot, especially during the summer, so expect it to be busy.
We ordered a variety of small plates and cocktails. The cocktails were good. The food was ok. A few dishes lacked flavor. If you plan to go, definitely make a reservation.
We sat in the main dining room, which gets very loud. Especially as the beer and cocktails start flowing.

12 minutes to get a drink at a half-full bar/restaurant and the staff didn’t seem to care.
Great food and atmosphere.
