My wife and I ordered the 12 ounce rib steak cooked medium. We were served a generous portion of well done tough fragments of dark beef nothing like the beautiful chunks of medium steak on the website. It was a disturbing experience to see a rib steak turned into a pile of ruble. When it came time for the cook to flick a piece of meat to each customer only one person at the table was hit in the face while others had meat fly by more than a foot of their mouth. Only a young Irish Setter could catch that. We filled up on plenty of white rice with egg. I couldn't even wash it down with a Coke since only pepsi was available.

Overcooked and over seasoned. Not sure how the “chefs” are so bad here, chicken shrimp and salmon were all dry and overcooked. Edamame was mushy. On a bright note the unsweetened tea was good! The place smells old and stale, I can’t imagine ever going back. I will say our waitress was very nice and good at her job, she should find a better place to work.

Host that seat you horrible. Waiter s ok. Food cold and hard. On a Thursday is a wreck food was served so sloppy. I know that majority of the people you serve each day are different but I feel we all should be treated equal. My food tasted like scrap food. Im very not wanting to come
Here anymore was here several times and treated well but today I was disgusted.

Wood table top was sticky, hibachi steak platter was tough and grissely, sushi tuna was nearly black and tough I have been eating sushi and sashimi for 52 years including in Japan have been this disappointed only once before! Atmosphere was cold and noisy. Japanese culture is about service in all respects and this place failed in all respects. The waitress gets four stars could have been five if mgmt had known how to properly train her. We will not return. Booth seating was tight and uncomfortable so moved to a four-top table

We had hibachi, sushi and few traditional appetizers. Everything was amazing. They took our large party (including children) in without reservation late at night. They were so accommodating and the service all around was wonderful!

Went there expecting great food and a great time but got the exact opposite, I waited 32 minutes after i was seated to have my order taken they not even busy was walked passed several times by waitresses and no acknowledgment at all. Had my food finally ordered after i was getting ready to call it quits but i gave them the benefit of the doubt and iI truly wish i didn’t, I ordered a medium rare steak which was cooked well done and my rice was undercooked as well every thing just tasted like soy sauce they should just put everything as soy sauce flavored as the name on menu. Their mango juice is just V8 juice which is pathetic and I almost forgot to say there table was dirty. I would of probably have a better meal if I went next door and went there domino’s trashcan, this place was a terrible sad excuse that you would call a steakhouse/ japanese restaurant please save your money and never go here you will be disappointed about everything because this place is the true definition of a disappointment

We only come to Rehoboth once a year and it is an absolute MUST to go to Tokyo steakhouse. The service is spectacular and the food is absolutely perfect! This is coming from someone who had the food pre pregnancy, pregnant, and post partum. It always slaps!

Food was great. Service great. Only problem is that when they double booked our reservation and asked us to wait an hour and a half we then had the propane run out at our table, had to move tables, wait for the grill to get hot and finally eat 3hours after our initial reservation time. They gave us 25 percent off one entree. Manager never even came to our table to apologize. We were the last ones in the restaurant we waited so long. If your hungry and you want food in an acceptable time frame, then I say no go Tokyo!

Fantastic restaurant!!! A Rehobeth must! Chef James is awesome!!!
We came 1 hour before closing and 30 minutes prior to kitchen closing both James and our server Taylor were so kind and welcoming, I can’t say enough great things about this place!

I made a call at 4:00 to make a reservation for 2 people. I asked the girl what is the latest reservation they do. The girl, who sounded inexperienced, said 5. I said 5:00 is the latest? She responded “well what time were you looking for?” I asked if they could do a 9:00. Granted, they close at 9:30 so I figured it would be a no. But she said yes and that it would be fine, taking my name down after.

We arrive at 9:03 (traffic) and rush in. The hostess proceeds to tell us that they stopped seating at 9:00 because the kitchen is basically closed. I asked why this wasn’t told to me when I made the reservation and she said the girl was on her 2nd day. She gets the manager who then tells me that she didn’t get my number (which is true) so they couldn’t call to tell me that the reservation was too late. He said “let me see what I can do” and then walks away. Upon coming back, he begins talking to a customer at the bar as we are waiting there for a response if we can still eat or not. We honestly just left after this BS since we didn’t want to be rushed eating and saw this as unprofessional. Been here every year for the past 11 years. Won’t be returning here again after this experience.

Pretty sure the food gave my fiancé and I food poisoning. Sushi tasted awful; I had one piece and couldn’t eat the rest. Staff was great but I’d never come back.
