Unusual small place with over-the-top decor. The food was
very good, but expensive.
Could NOT believe that they wanted to charge $14 for salsa and chips,
after all most restaurants provide them free of charge. They even charged for small cups of condiments.
My burrito was delicious and I may consider a carry out order. But I
don't like to feel taken to the bank.
The owner of this establishment hires illegal aliens that are undocumented and don't pay taxes here in the United States! One of the employees backed into my brand new car. She had no lisence and her insurance was canceled the month prior. They were originally going to pay out of pocket and didn't want to go through insurance. Sure ill work with you. made an appt with a local shop on our day off sent them the quote they will not pay. She had the audacity to call the Newark...read full review
I do not reccomwnd atexquita. I went there for dollar taco night a couple months back and they let us know they no longer offer that but instead a different special. Based on the reviews, Atexquita Restaurant Mexican Middletown is an absolutely fantastic and incredible place. The food is described as out of this world, fresh, and delicious, with bold and flavorful options. The menu includes items not seen before, and specific favorites include the Chocoflan, Torta de milanesa de pollo (noted as big and tasty), Quesabirria, Tamales, and the guac and chips, which is some of the best. The tacos pastor are considered the litmus test of any Mexican restaurant, and this place passes the test. The pulled pork tacos were a winner, and the el pastor tacos were also tasty. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is great, with sweet and friendly staff that make customers feel like family. The restaurant is not a huge place, making it a little quieter than similar spots. Highly recommended.
